Penelope threw open the door, escorting the kids in. Lennox and the rest of the group followed as Lennox pushed a phone to his ear.
"Hey." He said in a monotone voice. "Where are you guys?" He waited for a response.
"We have JJ and Gemini." Lennox eyed the two kids sitting on the couch.
"Where were they?" Laura growled over the phone. "I'm going to kill that little boy when I see him."
"They got kidnapped by the sins and their lackeys." The young man shook his head, looking over at Kori who stared blankly at her feet. "Also we have some news to tell you, it's urgent." He thought about the rambling mess Penelope became as she recalled what she and her brother overheard in the castle.
"We're on our way now." He overheard John in the back as tires screeched through the receiver. "Una'Myus is behind us."
Lennox huffed and hung up, making his way towards Sahir who had a green paste and some bandages.
"Need help?" He offered, reaching out a hand.
"Yeah, rub some of this over any wounds." Sahir raised the green-filled jar. "Then wrap it up with these bandages."
"Will it help heal them in time for tomorrow?" Lennox grabbed the just gently from the young man.
"Not all the way, but enough to make sure they can fight." Sahir shook his head.
Lennox and Sahir started with the children, ensuring every bump and cut was bandaged.
"How do you feel?" Sahir asked Ilah.
"I'm fine," The girl said quietly, "Are they going to come back for us?"
"Not you, but they're going to try to hurt a lot of people tomorrow, and we need to be there to help them." Sahir gave a sad smile.
Ilah dropped her gaze and Sahir stood, making his way to Kori who had been staring at her feet.
"Hey," he said as he crouched in front of the girl.
Kori looked up at him with weary eyes and gave a weak smile. "Hey."
"What's wrong?" Sahir asked as he began working on her, mending her muscles as her body twitched.
"Nothing," Kori muttered, clenching her fist as Sahir began spreading the mint green goo into her smaller wounds.
"Kori." Sahir met her gaze, concern filling his eyes.
"I-'' Kori inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly. "I fought wrath and I couldn't beat him, I could barely do anything to him."
"It's okay, we'll get him eventually, and we'll make him pay for what he did." Sahir stopped his hands on a damp towel before squeezing her thigh.
Penelope touched her bandaged head as she watched Kori and Sahir smile at each other, their eyes glittering.
She gaped at them and shook away her shock before standing and walking to her brother.
"What's up Nel?" Sahir asked as his sister followed him up to his room.
"You and Kori?" She accused him, pointing back at the girl through the floor.
"What about us?" Sahir said cooly, ignoring the confusion and excitement radiating from the woman behind him.
"Are ya.." she paused, a smile stretching across her face, "a thing?'
"Define 'thing'" Sahir scoffed, pulling off the beaded necklace and settling it into his palm.
"A couple." Penelope crossed her arms, annoyance clicking into her voice.
