Kori ducked a swing from Wrath, avoiding the large ax. She then sprinted down the hallway, making a B-line for the staircase, her hand reaching into her quiver.
"Dammit, only one arrow left," she thought as she dodged pieces of the ceiling. Wrath's heavy feet pound from behind her as she reaches the door. Her muscles scream as she lept from the top of the stairs, landing on a lower level.
Wrath let out a low growl before following suit, closing the distance between the two. Kori grunted as she turned on her heel, blocking a punch from the large man. Wrath stared at the girl, tilting his head. Kori sent energy to her free hand before driving her fist into the man's gut.
The impact rattled the man, sending him staggering backward. Wrath took a large swing, watching as Kori ducked under his attack. A coarse grumble escaped from his throat before he snatched the back of her shirt, lifting her into the air and flinging her into the wall.
Kori screamed, coating her body in kinetic energy trying to lessen the damage she'd take as she barreled through several walls. Her body crashed into the ground, rolling to a stop in the middle of the basement hallway.
She coughed viciously, spitting blood from her mouth as she tried to stand. A searing pain ripped through her body, causing her to collapse. Tears welled up in her eyes as she noticed her final arrow, on the floor in front of her.
"Girl, get your shit together! You have to end this." Kori thought, craning her neck. She noticed a sign. "Boiler room..."
"Sahir, watch out!" JJ's voice cut through the air. Sahir turned his head before being kicked into a nearby car, a female vampire standing where he was.
"Pay attention, child," Zavis said as he waved his hand, causing the ground to crumble beneath JJ'S feet. JJ groaned, dashing towards Zavis. Zavis chuckled stopping JJ a few meters from him.
"Suéltame pendejo!" JJ attempted to move his arms.
"Watch your mouth, kid," Zavis said, throwing his arm behind him, sending JJ flying into a lamppost. JJ's body hit the post with a thunk. Zavis watched as the boy struggled to lift himself before falling back to the ground.
"I've had enough of you vampires," Sahir said, sitting up, his eyes meeting the woman's yellow ones. The woman flashed her fangs, speeding toward Sahir. He gave her a piercing glare, causing the woman to drop to her knees and clutch her head.
He then lifted his arm toward a nearby tree, telekinetically snapping a branch from the tree and summoning it to his hand. In one swift motion, Sahir jumped to his feet, driving the splintered end of the branch into the woman's heart.
Sahir looked away, fixing his satchel as the woman's body lost its color. "Huh? I didn't think you had it in you to kill." Sahir's attention snapped to Zavis who sauntered over to him. There was a crashing sound coming from the infirmary.
"Whatever's going on in there doesn't sound good," Zavis said, his lips twitching into a smirk.
Sahir noticed JJ standing, readying himself to attack. Making eye contact, JJ zipped forward, slashing at Zavis' back. The sin lurched forward, turning on his heel quickly to engage in hand-to-hand.
Sahir turned to the car that he had been kicked into both hands outstretched. "Come... on," he grunted as he stepped back, shifting his weight, and sending the car speeding toward Zavis and JJ.
Zavis magically halted a slash from JJ as a screeching sound became louder from the side of them. JJ dashed around him and under the car. Zavis bit the inside of his cheek, muttering to himself and throwing his hand out.
