Penelope groaned as the rapping at her door continued.
"Wake up! You got class." A muffled voice called through the door.
Penelope pulled the blanket over her head, wincing as her muscles tightened. She squeezed her eyes shut as her room door opened and the blanket was pulled off of her.
"Mm!" She whined. "Come on it's cold." She curled up on herself.
"Well, you're going to be even more cold." The voice said as water splashed on Penelope.
"Lennox!" Penelope shot up, shivering as the water soaked through her tee-shirt.
"I warned you." He frowned. "Now come on. I don't want to be late."
"You could have left me." Penelope got out of her bed. "But since you're here.. can you dry me and my bed off?"
"Fine." Lennox waved his hand and collected the water off her bed, dispersing it into a mist.
"What about me?" Penelope pulled at her shirt.
"You got twenty minutes to shower and get ready." Lennox walked out of the room.
"Jerk," Penelope muttered, grabbing her toiletries and clothes.
She threw her wet clothing on the bathroom floor and turned on the water, hugging herself as she waited for the water to warm up.
Lennox waited downstairs, staring at the steam coming off his cup of tea.
"I haven't seen you that serious in a while." A voice snickered. "What's got you bothered?"
Lennox blinked and looked up at Laura across the island counter. He sat up and sighed. "It's Penelope."
"Still feel guilty about attacking her in order for her to do something?" Laura asked, leaning onto her hands.
"No. I'm frustrated that in order for her to be able to do something she needs to be pushed." Lennox rubbed his eyes. "One day it'll be too late for her to get angry and it'll be her last."
"She has the power, just not the confidence," Laura stated, leaning back in her chair.
"What are we gonna do?" Lennox shook his head.
"We?" Laura repeated. "We can't do anything. She needs to see that she can do it. She's still in denial and she needs to be shown that she's been picked for a reason."
Laura got up and walked away, leaving Lennox alone in the kitchen. He took a sip of his tea and frowned. "It's cold."
"I'm ready," Penelope said as she stomped down the stairs. "What?" She asked as Lennox stared at her.
"Nothing." Lennox stood grabbing his keys. "Let's go."
"I guess." Penelope sighed as she followed him out of the house.

"Good morning, Dakari," Aubrey said, passing by the boy on the stairs.
"Morning," She heard as the boy reached the bottom of the stairs. Aubrey stopped at Sahir's room and took a deep breath, opening the door.
She stood in the doorway, mouth agape. She watched as Sahir floated above his bed while in the lotus position. His spellbook in front of him, hovering as well.
"Oh, hey mom," Sahir said, turning his head.
"Um, hey... breakfast is ready," Aubrey watched as the boy lowered himself to the bed. "I'm sorry. But can you please ease up on the witchy woo?"
