"Get your ass back in the house," Sahir heard his mother yell as he continued to walk away.
"I'm probably gonna die when I get home... oh well," Sahir thought as he turned the street corner.
As he walked, he began taking in the scenery. People were laughing together on their porches, others walking briskly along the sidewalks, and some congregating at a small park located across from a diner.
The 'Howling Hanks' sign was glowing with flashes of yellow, red, and green. Sahir looked back to the park, noticing a woodsy area a little farther past the park.
He then looked up to see the sun setting. "I could go for a little nature walk.." with that thought, Sahir made his way to the woodland. As he neared the area, he noticed three people. One seemed to be kneeling in front of someone while the other stood. There were two young women and a boy that appeared to be around Sahir's age. Sahir continued forward, stepping on a twig.
"Is everything okay?" Sahir asked as their attention snapped to him.
"I swear if you come any closer, I'll make you wish you were never born." The heavy-set girl addressed him.
"Hey, I mean no harm. I just wanted to make sure you guys were okay," Sahir said, raising his hands. "What happened to your friend?"
"Why should we tell you?" she replied. Sahir felt a dreadful feeling of pain and fear. It seemed to be radiating from the unconscious boy.
"Well, your friend looks like a bear clawed his chest, and I may be able to help," Sahir answered, looking at the boy. Before the girl could speak again, she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Maybe we should let him help," the other girl said as she stood. Sahir looked at the other girl before his eyes returned to the slightly taller one.
"What if he is one of them?" She turned to the shorter girl.
"Blossom, babe... Dante doesn't seem like he's going to make it, and this boy just doesn't seem like he wants to harm us, and besides, we are in our territory," She said.
"Alright, Amber, I trust your judgment," She then moved aside and let Sahir take a closer look. Sahir kneeled next to the unconscious boy and placed two fingers below Dante's Jawbone.
"His pulse is weak. Give me some room," Sahir let out a sigh. "Concalo Eidos Virgonian Grimoire."
The girls watched as a subtle golden glow illuminated the area as a book appeared. Sahir grabbed it and began flipping through its pages. "Got it." Sahir sat the book on the ground next to him and placed his hands over Dante's chest.
"What are you doing?" He heard. Sahir let out a sharp breath as he felt anxiousness fill his body.
"Relax, I'm going to save him," Sahir replied before inhaling deeply. "Curatio."
Sahir's hands began to glow, and he focused his energy on the wound. Sahir bit his lip slightly as he watched as the gashes started to close. After a few minutes, the injuries were closed entirely.
"Blossom, right?" Sahir asked as he stood.
"The name is Brix," She replied.
"Okay, Blossom, Dante should be fine now," Sahir said, and as if on queue, Dante came to, coughing violently. Brix squinted as Amber dropped beside the boy to hug him.
"You know what? I'll let you slide," Brix said, holding her hand out. Sahir shook her hand before grabbing his book off the ground. "Thanks for saving my friend."
"No problem," Sahir said with a smile, noticing a calming sensation coming from the girl.
"I thought I was done for," Dante said as he pulled away from the hug.
