"Thank you for coming to help me," Nodin said as he adjusted himself in the backseat, contorting to pull on a clean shirt.
"It's no problem," Sahir said as Ori made a left and then another. "We gotta look out for each other."
"Are you okay?" Ori asked as he heard Sahir grunt from the passenger seat.
"I-it's just a small cut," Sahir replied, his hand hovering over the area where blood soaked through his shirt. "I'll be fine."
"Why don't you heal yourself," Ori said, taking a sharp turn causing Sahir to wince. Nodin groaned as they tried pulling a sweatshirt over their head. "Sorry."
"I think I may have overexerted myself," Sahir said, bringing his other hand to his nose as a trickle of blood began to fall.
"Dammit, don't worry. We're almost to the mansion," Ori said, pressing on the gas. Nodin tilted their head, folding their arms.
"Mansion? Am I missing something here?" Ori sighed as Nodin's voice drilled his ears.
"Everything will be explained when we get there."
Silence filled the car for the rest of the ride. When they pulled up to the mansion everyone exited the car, making their way to the door. After a few knocks, the door opened, with Kori standing in the doorway.
"What the hell happened?" Kori asked, taking in the sight of Sahir as they entered.
"My fiance, Nodin, he's Aquarius," Ori started as Sahir limped toward the stairs. "He was being attacked and Sahir helped him." Nodin gave a small wave before shoving their hands into the sweatshirt.
Laura and John stepped into the hall looking at Sahir who is now halfway upstairs.
"Who attacked you and is Sahir okay?" Laura asked, guiding the two into the living room. Lennox sat on the couch, typing on his laptop.
"Some girl with long, jet-black hair," Nodin said, taking a seat on the couch.
"Sahir had fought her off when I made it upstairs," Ori added. "But he was hurt in the process. I think he's going to tend to his wounds." Kori bit the inside of her cheek and left the living room, heading for the stairs.
"Alright then, welcome to your new home," John said, checking his phone.
"Wait, what do you mean?" Nodin questioned as Ori sat beside him.
"I mean you and Ori will be moving in here. Unless you'd rather stay living in your current home?" John said, looking between the two.
"You guys will be safer here and if you want to leave once you're confident in your abilities that's fine. Our Aries doesn't even live here," Lennox said, looking up from his laptop.
"Actually she might be moving back in," Laura said, earning a sigh from Lennox.
"Great, now you and your friend can be psychotic together." Lennox rolled his eyes, focusing once more on his homework.
"Nodin, would you like a drink while we discuss things further?" Laura asked as John raised his phone to his ear. Nodin nodded and Laura turned on her heel, walking toward the kitchen.
"John junior! You better call me back when you get this," John gritted through his teeth before hanging up the phone. "Lennox, don't have kids." Ori and Lennox laughed as John plopped down on the nearby loveseat.
"Where is it?" Sahir thought as he searched the shelves for a mixture of medicinal herbs he had put away.
"Gotcha." He said aloud, taking a seat in his chair near his altar. He pulled his shirt off, hissing as pain scratched at his side. Opening the container he scooped up the rust orange-colored paste with two fingers, applying the thick substance to his wound.
