Sahir shot up from his hospital bed with a gasp. Several coughs leaped from his throat, his hand coming up to the side of his head.
"He's awake!" He heard Kori's voice as he groaned, eyes opening and closing. The sound of footsteps swirled in Sahir's ears, prompting him to look up and see Kori in the doorway.
He gave a soft smile before wincing. Kori walked over to the boy, snatching him into a hug.
"K-Kori, you're hurting me," Sahir choked out, pain radiating in his head.
"Sorry..." Kori said, pulling back.
"What's going on? Why are you here? Do you need medical attention?" Sahir looked the girl over, scanning for injuries as he blitzed her with questions.
"I'm fine. You just rest up for now," Kori said, leaning forward and kissing Sahir's bandaged forehead. His smile returned to his face, heat accompanying it. "I came because JJ informed us of the attack. The sins are here now with two zodiacs fighting with them."
"I don't need to rest, we have to stop them." Sahir threw his legs over the edge of the bed and sat up.
"You're going to rest for a few like I said." Kori placed her hands on her hips as Ori walked into the room.
"Good, you're up. Here drink this," Ori said, passing a cup filled with a green liquid to Sahir.
"This should make me feel better in a few minutes," Sahir said before downing the liquid.
"Kori, Ilah went to the frontlines to assist in the battle." Ori took a deep breath and sighed.
"What about JJ?" She asked, shifting from one foot to the other. Sahir stared down at his torn shirt, fiddling with the tear. He then looked up, taking a sharp breath as whispers flooded his ears.
"Sahir, what's wrong?" Kori asked as she watched Sahir stand and slowly make his way to the door. Ori raised an eyebrow as Sahir turned to them, his index finger at his lips.
"You guys aren't safe," he heard as he entered the hallway. A rush of terror and worry slammed into him, causing Sahir to stagger.
"Why aren't we safe?" Sahir said, earning questionable looks from some people sitting to the far left of him.
"There's no time, just get everyone out of the hospital." Sahir sucked his teeth as he realized who was speaking to him.
"Nyshawn, just tell me what's going on," Sahir said, looking around. His eyes widened as Nyshawn manifested in front of him, gripping his wrists.
"GET EVERYONE OUT!" Sahir clenched his jaw attempting to break Nyshawn's hold. "You said you'd look after my sister. Don't let me down."
Sahir grunted as the manifestation of Nyshawn faded, leaving Kori in his place. "Let me go." Sahir snatched away from Kori. The girl blinked rapidly and allowed her hands to fall to her side.
"I-I'm sorry," Sahir said, letting his head fall.
"It's okay, you were experiencing some psychic shit weren't you?" Sahir nodded as Kori continued. "You also mentioned my brother's name."
"Yeah, this is the second time I've spoken to him. He's trying to warn us." Sahir said, his eyes meeting Kori's.
"Wait, a second time?" Kori moved closer to the boy.
"I'll tell you about it later. Right now we have to start evacuating the infirmary." Sahir prepared himself to walk off.
"Wait-" Kori grabbed his wrist. Sahir's head jerked as images flooded his mind. The hospital became barren as if the building was vacant. Multiple thuds sounded in the distance, with explosions interwoven between them.
