"Okay, so the entire community is on lockdown. The scouts and warrior wolves are patrolling to make sure no one gets in or out," Laura said, as John and Lennox walked up.
"So, where's the traitor?" John asked, crossing his arms.
"She's in the tent over there. I sealed it with a boundary spell," Sahir said, flipping through his grimoire.
"I still say we kill her," Kori chimed in, cracking her knuckles.
"You won't be killing anyone." Brix's voice sounded, catching everyone's attention.
"We're not going to kill her," John said as Brix reflected the way he stood. "We need to get information out of her."
Brix scoffed, throwing her hands up. "Let me in the tent. I want to talk to her."
"Uh, no," Sahir said, closing his book. Brix turned her attention to Sahir, her glare meeting his blank expression.
"Why the hell not?" Brix raised her voice.
"Because-" Sahir started but was cut off by Brix dashing at him, her hand wrapping around his throat. Before Brix could do anything else Kori snatched her wrist, causing her to let go.
"Calm down or get your ass whooped," Kori said, pushing the woman back. Brix let out a low growl.
"Look, fighting isn't going to solve anything," Lennox spoke up, John and Laura nodding in agreement.
"I just want to talk to her. Maybe I could reason with her?" Brix took a deep breath.
"Or she'll try and kill you. Just like she tried to kill me." Sahir rolled his eyes.
"She what?" Brix said, giving a confused look.
"You heard me." Sahir sighed, feeling the chaotic emotions flow from Brix to him. There was a moment of silence, before Laura's phone rang.
"Una'Myus, what's up?" Laura said, putting the phone on speaker.
"Bullshit. Me and Penelope just had a run-in with the sins."
"Really? Is everything okay?" John said as they all moved in closer.
"Yeah, we managed to fight them off. Penelope is hurt though." Una'Myus paused as Penelope's muffled voice filled the background. "We also found charity. Greed and Sloth tried to kill him."
"Looks like you guys had a stressful day. Allow me to add on to it. Make your way over to the werewolf community." Laura said, giggling slightly."Sahir was able to figure out what's causing the sickness and was almost killed because of it."
Sahir scrunched up his face, glaring at Laura. There was a ruffling sound on the other end of the call. "WHAT? HOW? WHO THE FUCK?!"
"Why would you say that??" Sahir asked before taking a shallow breath and walking off toward the tent where they had left Amber. Kori and Brix followed after Sahir and Lennox palmed his face.
"Just get here so we can handle this," John said before turning on his heel. Laura hung up the phone and joined the others in front of the tent.
"Sahir, I'm sorry... Please let me in. I can probably get the information you guys need," Brix pleaded. Sahir looked to Laura who gave him a reassuring nod. He then looked at Amber who paced around the confined space.
"I'll let you guys talk. But no one is going in." Sahir tapped his finger on the barrier, a golden ripple stemming from his finger. "She can hear you now."
"Babe, what's going on? Is it true you tried to kill Sahir?" Brix asked. Sahir tilted his head, opening his mouth. Lennox slid his hand over his mouth, dragging him back as Sahir flailed his arms.
