Jungkook felt his heart race as Jimin continued to yell at the police officers. He knew that Jimin was upset and wanted to find his belongings as soon as possible, but he also knew that yelling at the cops wasn't the best way to handle the situation. Jungkook took a deep breath and stepped forward.
"Jimin, please calm down," Jungkook said, placing a hand on Jimin's shoulder. "I know you're frustrated, but yelling at them won't help."
Jimin turned to face Jungkook, his face red with anger. "What do you know, husband?" he spat. "You're just a kid. You don't know anything about the law."
"I may not know everything about the law, but I do know that yelling at the police won't help us get your stuff back any faster," he said, trying to keep his voice calm.
Jimin glared at Jungkook for a moment before taking a deep breath and nodding. "You're right," he said, his voice calmer now. "I'm just so frustrated. I can't believe someone stole my bag. and these cops still couldn't find my belongings."
Jungkook nodded sympathetically. "I know, it sucks," he said. "But let's let the police do their job and see if we can get your stuff back, okay?"
Jimin nodded, and the two of them stood quietly as the police finished up their questioning.
The police officer spoke in a calm tone, "Mr. Jimin, I completely understand how frustrated you are right now, and we are doing everything we can to help you. We will assign a special team to look for your belongings, and as soon as we find them, we will bring them to you. Please, I urge you to be patient and not show up at the station again."
But Jimin was too angry to listen, and he continued to berate the police officers.
"A special team? Are you kidding me?" he shouted. "How can you call yourselves the police? You can't even do your job properly!"
The officers' expressions tightened, and their eyes widened as they struggled to tolerate Jimin's lecture.
"Jimin, please calm down," Jungkook said, trying to defuse the situation. "Yelling at the cops won't help us get your things back. Let's just go home and figure out what to do next."
But Jimin was too worked up to listen. Jungkook watched as the officers became increasingly agitated, and he knew that we needed to leave before things got out of hand.
"Let's go Jimin!" Jungkook emphasized and he practically dragged Jimin to the car.
As soon as Jungkook and Jimin reached home, Jungkook became angry with Jimin.
"I told you to go back to your own home, didn't I?" Jungkook shouted at Jimin, who flinched at the sudden outburst.
"What the hell are you doing here? And how long do you plan to hide out?" Jungkook raised his voice even higher.
"I'm talking to you, Park Jimin. You made it clear that you don't want this marriage, so why are you still here?" Jungkook continued to shout.
He noticed Jimin's eyes were becoming watery.
"I don't have a home to go back to," Jimin whispered, trying to hold back his tears.
"What do you mean?" Jungkook asked, his tone softer.
"If I go back home, my parents will arrange another marriage for me," Jimin sobbed, tears now flowing freely. "They'll probably marry me off to someone like Yoongi, or even Yoongi himself."
Jimin showed Jungkook the wound on his hand.
"I almost committed suicide because I didn't know how to stop the wedding. My wound was still healing, but my parents didn't give me time to recover from my pain. They refused to listen to me."
"So, I agreed to marry Yoongi," Jimin continued, his voice shaking. "I thought it was the only way out. But then you showed up, and you said you didn't want to continue with the marriage. I was happy because I thought I could finally live my life without my parents, but now I've lost everything, including my belongings and my credit card."
"It feels like God is writing my life to be miserable," Jimin chuckled weakly.
"And now you want me to go back, but I've been staying here for two days without my phone. If my family cared about me, they would have at least contacted you to check on me. Has Jin hyung called you? No, of course not. That's my family for you. They don't care about me at all. They're busy running their business, and I'm just longing for their love," Jimin wiped away his tears and looked at Jungkook.
"I don't know where to go, husband. I don't even know who to call for help, so I stayed here without bothering you. But I can't even be a maid for you because I don't know how to cook or clean. I'll leave your home after sunrise. Don't worry, I won't trouble you anymore," Jimin said sadly.
"If my family arranges another marriage for me, I won't cut my hands this time. I'll hang myself and die peacefully. That's probably how God wants me to end my life," Jimin cried and ran towards the guest room.
Jungkook stood there, feeling a pang in his chest. Each of Jimin's words made him feel guilty for shouting at him.He checked his phone to see if Jin hyung had inquired about Jimin, but there was no message from Jimin's family.
Jungkook felt ashamed and guilty for his earlier outburst.
He made his way towards the guest room, each step making his heart ache in pain. He knocked softly on the door and called out, "Jimin?"He nervously bit his lip and turned the doorknob to enter the room.
He saw Jimin curled up on the bed, sleeping soundly.
"How can he sleep so peacefully?" Jungkook muttered to himself. He smiled and covered Jimin with a thick blanket.
"Good night," he whispered and turned off the bedroom light.
