Luckily for me, I actually own something other than jeans and tops. I go through all the dresses Stacey made me buy on all our shopping trips. I don't usually wear dresses but parties are different according to Stacey. I decide to pick the only one that appeals to me at the moment. It's a deep blue colour which is cut to an end between my butt and knees. The shoulders are laced at the end. The top half of the dress clings onto the top half of me whilst the bottom half just flows. As well as putting on a dress, I decide to put some make up on; I only wear make-up on rare occasions. With make-up done, I decide to curl my hair. I put it up in a bun with strands coming off at the sides all curly. Once I was finished, I looked at myself in the mirror. I sigh, this isn't me. I put on a brave face and head downstairs to wait for Stacey. I notice Justin is on the computer and mum is lounging about reading a book. I check the time, it's 8:25pm.
"Mum?" I say whilst peering over the top of her book. She looks up over her glasses at me.
"Yes?" She questions with suspicion.
"I'm going out to a party" I tell her. She drops her book.
"You?! You're going to a party?" She says with such shock. She chuckles to herself. I sigh.
"Yes I am." She stops chuckling.
"No you're not, not till you're better" She says whist picking the book back up.
"But I am better!" I complain. "And bored!" She doesn't say anything.
"Stacey is picking me up in a minute anyway!" I call whilst heading to door. She sighs and gets up to walk over to me.
"There absolutely no way you're going and that's final!" She yells. I cross my arms and look away.
"Just because you want me to have no life! That's why you're trying to send me off to dad sooner rather than later!" I shout. This isn't me. She looks at me in despair.
"Cassie sweetheart," she says whilst stroking my shoulder, "I'm only trying to look out for you and I think maybe getting away from all this may do you some good!" She explains. Right as per usual. "The doctors don't know what's wrong so maybe a new start could do you some good" She tries to explain.
"But what about what I want? What about the life I have here already?! I'm not going to give that up because you can't handle me anymore!" I scream. She looks at me and before I give her the chance to say anything, I storm out the house. Waiting in her mini was Stacey.
"Hurry up or we'll be late!" She shouts out the window. I take a deep breath and get in. I dared not look back. As we drive out the street, Stacey looks over.
"You alright babe?" She asks. I put on a fake smile and look at her.
"Yeah! Just looking forward to this party" I lie. She grins ear to ear.
"Excellent! I messaged Jaz, she's there already and guess what?!" She exclaims.
"What?" I say, trying to sound interested.
"I heard a guy in the background! You think she's met someone already?" She asks. It wouldn't surprise me, she is stunning. Her strawberry blonde, wavy hair matches her chestnut brown eyes perfectly. Her figure is 'perfect' and any boy would gladly date her.
"No idea. Let's find out when we find her!"
"Evening ladies" Orlando greeted us at the end of the drive way. We parked a 5 minute walk away as Stace was worried that her car would get damaged. The walk wasn't that bad as it's autumn here but it being Liverpool, it was quite cold. Stupid for me, I forgot to bring some sort of a jacket with me and now I'm paying the price.
"Hey Orlando!" Stace says in her flirty tone. I just laugh to myself at how silly they are. They really like each other but no one will make the first step.
"Hi" I say without a care in the world.
"Party is inside." He says whilst gesturing towards his house.
"Maybe I'll see you in there....?" Stace hints at him. He smiles and I roll my eyes. I grab her by the arm and pull her towards the party.
"Let's hope so!" He calls out. Orlando's house is a mansion! Not too surprising as his dad owns the best business here and his mum in in charge of a business located all around the world. His mum is always away on work and his dad works a lot so they wouldn't exactly notice a party tonight. The house has a pool in the back alongside with a bar, little guest house and conservatory. His house has never seized to amaze me. The only reason I know this is because Stacey and I used to come her a lot to see him and Drake whilst being bombarded with his younger siblings. He is the oldest out of 4 and we used to mess around when we slightly younger. To be honest, we still do!
"Let's find people and dance!" Stacey calls out above the blazing music. I put on my best smile as I regret deciding to come.
