When we got to Linda's, I decided that I was just going to lie on her front lawn for as long as possible. She fumbled around her bag to find her keys and Austin leant on her front gate facing inwards. When she found her keys and was inside, he moved to lie on his front by me. He was studying my face and moved his hand to stroke my cut. "What happened?" He concerned. His thumb was still treading carefully over the cut. I dread to think what is going through his mind.
"Um..." Great start Cassie, "It doesn't matter plus there is nothing we can do about it now." I sigh. I know he's trying to be there for him but I'm scared what he'll do if he finds out the truth. Instead of replying, he moves in and kisses the cut. It stings but I'm not complaining. He then joins his forehead to mine and we just stay there for a moment. Everything seemed normal for once in my life. It was short lived. We heard Linda open her front door and we moved away from each other. I sat up and wrapped my arms around my legs to the same position as I was in the shower. However this time, I had my head to the side to see Austin who was staring back at me. He got up and offered his hands to me for help. I took them but we held hands slightly too long that Linda had to break us apart with a cough. "To mine!" Austin ordered. This time, we were walking.Tucked behind woodlands near a lake is Austin's house. It was the perfect hideaway for anyone and everything. Vines crawled up the walls and curved around the windows. Austin offered to Linda and I to wait inside and we didn't say no. As we got inside, we were greeted by him mum. "Linda sweetie! So nice to see you again!" She exclaimed. Austin shook his head in embarrassment whilst Linda had a huge grin on her face. "Hi Mrs Wades, glad to see you again. This is Cassie!" Linda pointed out whilst pushing me forward. Mrs Wades' expression changed for the better and she turned to face Austin and back to us. "So this is Cassie! I have heard so much about you from young Austin here!" She seem delighted to meet me.
"On that note!" Austin called, "We better get ready." He suggested. He signalled for Linda and me to come with him upstairs. By the time we got to the top Linda had other ideas, "I'm going to see your mum whilst you get ready." She told us and left in a hurry. I carried on following Austin in silence. We got to a brown door at the far end of the corridor to find on the inside his room. Wow, it was a mess. He scurried around trying to clear some clothes to make space. "Find somewhere to sit if possible." He offered. He then moved into a joint room which I can only presume was an en suite. The only place for me to sit was on the end of his bed but I decided to have a look at the posters and photos that hung on the wall. Some of the photos were family ones, others were friend related. There is an adorable photo of Austin with his two older siblings, Jemima and Antony, when they were little. I was surprised to see a picture of Austin and I up from when he was living in Liverpool. I touched the photo remembering the moment it was taken. In the summer when we were as close as we were now. "I put it up to help remember you by." Austin spoke. I jumped out of my skin as I didn't hear him walk in. I turned around to find him topless with his top draped over his shoulder.
"Sorry, I'm being nosey." I admitted. He laughed it off and walked over to me. We were standing so close that I could feel his breath on my face. I looked down to be greeted with his hand pulling me back up to look at him. He then leaned in and moved his lips over mine. He moved his hands around my back and I moved mine so they were touching his front. He didn't have abs but he didn't have a bad body. I then moved my hands to his face to pull him closer. I pulled away from him as I felt watched. "You okay Case?" He asked. I pointed behind him and he turned around to find his mum and Linda staring at us. I started laughing and moved my head forward so it was touching his front. He wrapped his arms around me so I felt hidden. We were laughing it off including Linda.
"Well, I think it's adorable!" His mum called out.
"Come on, we better find Bill." Austin suggested. He took my hand and led me out.
