the triplets, madi, and freyja had just arrived at a place called palm shore mini greens. chris, nic and freyja stood outside, while madi and matt went inside to sign in and get their wristbands.
the drive to mini golf had been nice, and freyja had discovered that chris loved dominic fike, just like her. "favourite song off of don't forget about me demos?", she asked, while they waited outside in the la heat.
"either socks or west coast collective".
"mine is batshit", freyja grinned, happy she had something in common with at least one of the triplets. "favourite song off of what could possibly go wrong?", chris grinned, thinking about his answer.
"this one is easy. it's always going to be vampire".
"I like vampire, but there are better songs. why is way better". chris pretended to look offended.
"ok, but here's the deal breaker", he said, looking freyja dead in the eyes, with a serious face. "what is your favourite single, or collab dom has done with another artist?".
freyja gave herself a second to think about it, before jumping to a conclusion. "its got to be acai bowl".
"I didn't pin you as an acai bowl girl", chris said, smiling.
"never judge a book by its cover", freyja shot back, shrugging her shoulders, and grinning from ear to ear.
"mine is definitely die for you with justin bieber. but phone numbers is pretty good too". freyja nodded in agreement.
madi and matt came out of the multicoloured building, holding five orange-coloured wristbands. madi ripped the pieces of paper apart and handed them out. once they were all set, matt led them around the side of the building, to a rack filled with mini golf clubs, and a bucket filled with golf balls.
nic turned to freyja. "do you mind if we vlog while we play?".
"yeah, that's fine. as long as I get to see the video before you post it so I can make sure I don't do anything embarrassing", nic let out a laugh and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"you'll be fine. but yes, i will show you the video before it is posted. we usually all watch it together, with whoever is in it anyway". freyja smiled and turned back to the rest of the group.
matt spoke up. "hey, we should all pick clubs and balls that match our outfit".
"ayooooo", chris yelled out, laughing. a family turned to glare. matt just rolled his eyes.
"yesssss, and then we can take cute Instagram pictures", nic said, and madi agreed.
"you down, freyja?", matt questioned turning to her. freyja nodded.
madi ended up picking a pink club and ball, to match her pink tank top, nic went with a green set, which matched his green hoodie. chris picked a bright orange set because he said it was cool, and it matched his shoes, and matt went with a black set to match his black ransom tee. "boringggggg", chris said, upon seeing his decision. freyja took a while to decide but eventually went with a blue set that matched her tube top.
nic led the group over to a brick wall that had a mural of a set of golf clubs shaped in a heart. the background was made up of multicoloured balls. a waitress carrying a set of empty glasses on a tray wandered past, heading to the kitchens, and madi stopped her as she walked past. she agreed to take a photo of the group and put her tray down before taking madis phone and stepping back.
the boys stood up and posed against the wall, while madi and freyja knelt on the ground. the waitress snapped the photo, and right before she was going to walk away, madi stopped her again. "would you mind if we used that tray and glasses to take some more photos? we will return it when we are done". the waitress seemed unsure at first but eventually gave them the all-clear.
