SARAH
During dinner, my parents told me that they want to go to the police and make a report against Mr.Johnson. My dad also said not to worry about the company or living arrangements.
I am still debating if I should tell my parents about the entity and the whole James being possessed thing. I am sure his parents will have a field day with that.
My mom has her suspicions that something like that happened, but she didn't push it. She trusts me to tell her if anything happens. My dad is still a little worried about Carter and me kissing. He didn't say anything to me about it, yet. Soran is still gone from this afternoon. He hasn't texted me and I starting to worry. He has been going and leaving more often than before. With news that Becky and Soran are a thing, I want to talk to him.
I deserve to know what he has planned or even how he feels about her. She is my best friend and he is my big brother. I don't know if he is just doing this because of his feelings or if he is doing this to lash out. My guess would be to lash out. I do think it is weird he would call his friend from back home for advice. He never once talked about them when we moved here. He just brushed them off as I did my friends.
Two quick knocks sound at the door and my dad peaks his head into my room. I nod at him to come in. I turn around in my chair after folding my textbook shut. The history of the Maine Mines will have to wait.
"Hey sunshine," my dad uses the little nickname he gave me as a child to greet me. I smile, "Hi dad." He closes the door and steps into my room. He kisses my forehead and sits opposite of me on my bed. I can tell he is tired. The worry lines are evident on his face and his eyes look dull of life. "I think we need to talk about some things," he gives me a sheepish smile and winks.
I get out of the chair and sit next to him on the bed, "yeah, I know."
He gives it a few seconds before saying, "you know that I love you and I think you are the smartest, strongest, and the kindest young lady I have ever known."
"Thank you, dad." I know what he means. Growing up with something so evil and distraught my entire life, made me mature. I had to grow up sooner than everyone else my age. Since before I could talk or even walk I was met with the responsibility of life and death. My entire future was to heal others as I became more and more relentless of the living. "Before we get into the conversation about Carter and his father," he slows the word 'conversation' before continuing, "do you want to talk about what I may or may not have seen?"
I kissed Carter, well he kissed me. It was my first kiss- second kiss. It was amazing, the smooth texture of his lips locked on mine. The tingles I felt where his lips lignnured on mine reminding me of small children leaving their hands on my arms or legs. His hands touched my face so gently it made it hard to let go of him.
"I really like him, dad." My dad shakes his head, "I know you do."
"Over the past few months that we have been here, you have shown light through yourself. Before, you would hide away, conceal yourself in you room and you would never go out with your friends," he explains. "I see the way you look at him and vice versa. You two act like you've known each other your whole lives." My dad has never talked about this sort of thing with me. It is always about business or nothing at all.
"You are my little girl, I want you to be safe, but I also want you to understand that with your gift-" I stop him, "curse." He sighs, "you are more at risk for negative things to happen."
James was just admitted to the hospital and so was Carter. Soran looks okay for now, however, I think it is mostly emotional damage than physical. James was declared in a coma with sever brain damage, it was awful. I have never seen anything like this. His parents rush through the doors and ran straight toward the front desk, "where is my son?" His dad yelled.
