Adrianna pushed the bowl full of cereal away from her, groaning simultaneously. Joe scowled at her actions and pushed the bowl back towards her, causing her to shoot him a disapproving glare.

"Addie you need to eat" he sighed running a hand through his hair.

"I'm not hungry Joe" she stated bluntly as she pushed the bowl away again. Joe rolled his eyes at her and pushed the bowl back towards her again.

"Eat half at least" he asked. "Please?" He pleaded. Adrianna sighed and took a spoonful of cereal before shoving it in her mouth earning herself a smile from Joe.

"Happy?" She mumbled with a mouthful of cereal.

"Don't talk with you mouth full Adrianna" he scolded. She shot him another disapproving glare and he cracked into a smile, Adrianna tried her best to resist smiling back but of course around Joe, she never succeeded.

Joe admired the girl in front of him, how she aimlessly pushed all her cereal under the milk. See Adrianna had always insisted  that every bit of cereal must be soaked in milk before it was edible, Joe on the other hand hated soggy cereal, one of the things they always disagreed on growing up. Addie looked up noticing how Joe's attention was on her, with blush rising on her cheeks she coughed to break the silence.

"About last night.." she trailed.

"Don't worry about it. Heat of the moment" he assured her. She bit her bottom lip and nodded softly and hesitantly in agreement. The almost kiss was definitely heat of the moment she reminded herself. Joe wouldn't admit it to himself, nor her, but he definitely wanted to seize the moment last night, but the circumstance felt wrong and like he was taking advantage of her.

"I called Elle" he blurted out. He knew this may have been overstepping but he knew he had filming to attend to and didn't want Addie to be all alone after last nights events.

"What?" She exclaimed slamming her spoon onto the table.

"I have to film today, I didn't want you to be alone so I called her." He stated. "I'm sorry if I overstepped-"

"If?" She yelled. "You did overstep." She scoffed looking at him in disbelief. Her anger levels were rising, she wasn't ready to tell anyone what happened yet and he didn't take that into consideration.

"I'm sorry I just thought you needed someone Addie."

"I'm fine on my own"

"No you're not"

"Stop telling me what I am and what I'm not, we haven't been friends in years and suddenly you're acting like you know me better than I know myself?" She yelled again getting up from her chair, she could feel the tears pricking her eyes. She wasn't sure if they were due to frustration or if she was scared to face the truth of yesterday again. Joe noticed her eyes watering and immediately rushed to her side and pulled her into a hug.

"I'm sorry you're right. Shh" he mumbled placing a kiss on her head. She sobbed into his chest, feeling her knees weaken out of being exhausted by her own emotions. Joe noticed her leaning into him so he wrapped his arms tighter around her to support her weight.

"I don't know what I did" she sobbed. "I must've done something wrong. I shouldn't have made him more angry either, he only hit me because I made him angry." She sobbed harder this time. Joe immediately pulled away from the hug placing both his hands on her face so she was looking up at him. His thumb rubbed soothing circles on her now wet cheek where a light bruise was now noticeable, as he looked at her eyes that she kept diverting away from his.

"Look at me" he spoke softly. She still diverted her gaze. He spoke again. "Adrianna Bennett look at me right now" he spoke slightly harsher. Her eyes met his and he noticed them dull, drained of life as he sighed heavily.
