There's always tomorrow

"Leave me alone I'm not in the mood" Addie groaned to Caleb.

"Look can I at least take you somewhere?Where are you staying?" He asked.

"None of your fucking business Caleb" she hissed.

"So you'd rather stay out here in the cold, late at night, somewhere you don't know- than just get in the car with me?" He scoffed.

"Exactly that" she smiled innocently.

"Adrianna I'm sorry for what happened but you can't be serious about staying out here?" He groaned.

"I'm as serious as a heart attack" she replied bluntly.

"I know I cheated on you but this is your safety we're talking about here" he scoffed. "Are you saying your ego is more important than your life?"

"You hit me Caleb. I wouldn't exactly say I'm safe with you" she snapped.

"I didn't mean it" he argued back.

"Doesn't fucking matter you did it." She spat back.

"Oh don't act innocent you were egging me on to give you a reason to leave to be with your precious actor. Where is he now Adrianna? Oh yeah used you then got bored didn't he" he taunted her. Her body filled with rage at his words, every word added fuel to the fire in the pit of her stomach.

"I could have told you to fucking hit me and you still wouldn't have had the right to lay your bloody hands on me Caleb what about that don't you understand." She yelled. "For years you emotionally manipulated me, constantly, I was your little project I could never be out of line or have fun without you threatening me with something. You're an asshole Caleb, an abusive asshole" she was almost screaming the words at this point. Caleb surprisingly was taken aback by what she had said, shaking his head in disbelief at her outburst.

"God he really got in that pretty little head of yours didn't he- triggered a victim complex within you? You're living in fantasy world Adrianna. Life isn't some fairytale where everything is supposed to be perfect- we fought and I slapped you- so fucking what" he laughed. "Shit like that happens in the real world princess you're just lucky I sheltered you so long." He said sternly towering over her. She stood from the bench and inched closer to him, anger seething in her words as she spoke.

"Fantasy world? Me? You're the one who had daddy cover up his mistakes when you make them. You don't think I don't know he covered up the entire incident that night? Don't think I know he's covered up multiple sexual harassment cases for you? Anything goes wrong and you're straight to daddy to fix it." She argued. "As for Joe- that's none of your business nor concern anymore." She added.

"So he did leave you then" he said suspiciously getting even closer, he placed his hand in her hair and she felt her entire body tense up at his actions, her stomach pool in a pit of dread.

"I think you'll find I didn't so do us all a favour and fuck off" called Joes familiar voice. Addies head whipped round to see him standing there, his hair a mess and him soaked from head to toe from the rain. In that moment she didn't care that she was supposed to be mad at him, she was relieved he was there, right when she needed him. Caleb gave a low chuckle shaking his head as he backed away from Addie.

"Well well if it isn't Prince Charming saving the day" he taunted looking at Joe. Joe quickly made his way right beside Addie, wrapping one arm around her waist protectively. "If you're such a good boyfriend why did you leave her all alone, completely vulnerable. Huh?" He taunted again. Joes grip tightened and his face tended at Caleb's words.

"He was filming I was just waiting for him" Addie blurted out.

"Sure that's why you were crying into your knees" Caleb rolled his eyes. "See what I said Adrianna, even the nice guys end up treating you like shit, that's life sweetheart, get over it" he spat before turning to walk away.
