"I don't want to leave you" Joe sighed laying his head down on Addie's lap.
"You have filming" Addie chuckled nudging his head as her fingers laced in his curls. He sighed heavily as the tension relief coming from the soft patterns of her fingers tips against his scalp.
"But this is so much better" he mumbled softly. She rolled her eyes and placed a soft kiss against his lips, feeling herself hum into the lingering kiss. Joe pulled away softly for air "now I really don't want to leave" he groaned.
"Too bad you need to go and I need to start writing my book" she stated. Addie had almost ignored the fact she had intentionally quit her job to work on her book, yet hadn't even decided what to write about. Joe softly smiled at her, a way he thought of showing his support. He quickly got up from her lap muttering how he really couldn't be bothered to go to work, Addie once again reminding him he had to. He bent down and placed a kiss goodbye on her lips, him lingering against them for a while, not wanting to pull away knowing that when he did he'd have to leave.
"Go" Addie whispered against his lips. "I promise I'll be right here when you get home" she chuckled before pressing a quick peck to his lips again before patting his chest signalling for him to go. He pulled away poking her nose muttering that he'll be as quick as possible at work and be home soon.
Addie was then left in an empty apartment, Lola had been picked up by the dog Walker to take for the day to allow Addie to get her work done with no distraction. She had insisted Lola wasn't a distraction and it was fine but joe knew she'd spend the whole day petting and loving her over actually writing her book at all. She looked around the apartment, the silence overwhelming her causing her to whip her phone out connecting her Spotify to play around the apartment. Allowing the relaxing voice of Taylor swift to circle around the building she pulled out her laptop to begin her planning stages of the book. Quickly she found herself speed typing her storyline and plot twists that she wanted, her words simply pouring out onto the screen as if it was a second nature to her. She didn't know why it was so easy for her, she expected to sit here for hours and have no clue what to write but here she was, her emotions plastered across the screen and her chest feeling lighter as she typed. The only thing that was able to grab her attention from the screen in front of her was a knock at the door, an urgent sounding knock at that.
"Adrianna" called the voice on the other side. "Please open the door" Addie's body stiffened and her stomach dropped as Caleb's voice echoed in her ears. She decided to stay completely silent, in hopes he would think she wasn't here.
"Adrianna I know you're there. Your music is deafeningly loud." He groaned. Her heart sped up, of course he could hear her music, she never thought this was a scenario she'd be facing.
"I'm not answering the door Caleb go away." She spoke shakily.
"Oh cmon" he yelled. "You're not scared of me are you." He taunted. "I got a nice little letter from your lawyer this morning." He spoke as her heart dropped, the charges, he must've just received them.
"Then you clearly didn't get the letter explaining a temporary restraining order is in place" she spat. "Leave."
"Cute- you think a piece of paper will stop me from getting what I want Adrianna"
"I have nothing you want" she exclaimed.
"You have my reputation in my hands Adrianna. You know that's important to me" he bluntly stated. "Drop the chargers" he demanded.
"Ha" she laughed. "Never. You're not doing this to anyone else ever again" she spat. She was now dangerously close to the door, she could hear his breathing that was clearly erratic with anger.
