AN: I realized I said no men last chapter but I meant no terrible men at the bar

Alex is lying in bed under the covers half asleep when she hears her sister slip out of bed and get changed quickly.

She overheard the plan Lena whispered to Kara and had no objections to it.

All Alex cares about is her sister's safety and happiness even if said sister doesn't believe or notice.

As soon as Kara slips open the door and out of the room Alex stands and slips on an outfit and a hat to cover her face as she trails her sister and her teammate to the bar.

Alex keeps her distance and stays outside of the bar, not that it looked like one. But she was just there to make sure her teammates and sister stay safe.

Lena grabs Kara's hand and leads her into the bar. The other girls had left earlier so they were the last to arrive.

Kara's eyes widen as they enter the speakeasy. The room was full of people of all shapes and sizes eating great food and dancing to swing playing loudly from a live band.

Kara is too overwhelmed by all the sights that she doesn't notice that it is men dancing with men, and women dancing with women, and people just dancing with whoever they wanted.

Lena had disappeared without Kara realizing into the crowd so she looked a bit lost but with wide eyes, she finally notices and really takes in the company she is with when she hears a voice say "You look a bit lost hun, you alright?"

"I- um yah" Kara turns and finds a short brunette woman looking at her from the other side of the bar. Kara walks up and says "Yeah I am kinda from the middle of butt fuck nowhere. This is kinda..."

"A lot?"

"I was gonna say different but yeah that's also not wrong."

"Is it bad different?" the woman says tensing a bit. She knew Lena was bringing this girl and was a bit worried about her first reaction to a gay bar.

"No. Just different. And a bit overwhelming." Kara explains taking a seat at the bar.

"Well let me help you feel a bit better. My name is Carson, and I am the co-owner of this place with my wife Greta" Carson explains gesturing around at the bar and the happy people.

"Wife?"

"Yep."

"Isn't that illegal?" Kara questions

"Yes, but we had a little ceremony here with all our friends and that was all we needed. It's real to us and that's all that matters" Carson says with a bright smile while handing Kara a coke. "Lena seems to think that you might enjoy our bar. Is she right?"

"I- I don't know. I have never been in any sort of relationship with anyone but when I kissed a guy it felt just wrong. And- well don't tell Lena this when I look at her she takes my breath away and makes me feel all giddy inside." Kara says while ringing her fingers together.

"I was in the same position but I had a husband. And a wise woman named Doris Murphy talked to me and explained how she realized she was in love with her best friend. It made me realize that my feelings weren't wrong or bad regardless of what the world thought." Carson smiles happily "And later when she decided to retire and move to California with her partner she left the bar to Greta and I."

"You talking bad about me honey?" A tall brunette walks up to Carson and plants a kiss on her cheek. "Whose this?"

Kara sticks her hand out and offers it to the brunette "I am Kara. Nice to meet you."
