A/N: I have re-written / touched this one up a bit! I didn't think it was as good as it could've been- a story of angst! Does have a good ending though- it's in the second part!
TW: Self-hate and bullying. Have a great day/afternoon/night! -Alireta

Moon sat quietly on the edge of the sky stage balcony, he was watching Sun play with the children staying at the daycare today. There were loads of young ones today! Moon loved them most, they were kind to him and didn't judge him for how he looked or spoke, they always asked him to sing them a lullaby and he was always more than happy to comply!

He was watching the group carefully as they played Duck, Duck, Goose and Simon Says. He loved watching his brother play with the kids- and he always laughed along with the jokes and the silly things going on during games. Then, at the end of the day, he loved listening to his brother fill him in on all of them- rambling about silly things and making sure to tell him all the funniest parts. Sun knew it was hard for his brother- he looked scary and talked scary and way too many older kids used it to bully him.. nevertheless! Sun could always see his sibling sitting up on their balcony, smiling and laughing! Taking care of them from a distance!

He was almost like the secret guardian of the group. Whenever a younger child would notice him peeking through or sitting on the sky stage, they'd wave to him and shout 'Hi mister Moon angel!' At the top of their lungs, always earning a small laugh from the lunar animatronic as he waved back at them happily. Other kids would hear the commotion and join in, all laughing and greeting Moon before running to carry on playing with Sun- who would giggle in the background and wave to his brother as well!

Sun was always full of energy- always hyper and giddy like the kids were! He never stopped having, creating or enjoying fun, so it was easy to see why the excitable kids in the daycare loved him so much! Most did anyways- the older kids weren't nearly as interested as messing around and playing constantly. They got tired of the childish antics easily and most preferred to just sit and draw, or play little games on their phones quietly. Those were the good kids and both of the attendants got along brilliantly with them!

Unfortunately, you cannot have the great without the terrible.. the other older kids often behaved annoyingly. They would get on the nerves of both the solar and lunar attendants with silly amities which often caused either an incredibly large fuss or just made everyone's time slightly more annoying. They were nuisances to put it kindly- and when Sun says you're a nuisance.. you've really wronged him.

At first, Sun could forgive their behaviours, he understood their point of view! The wanted to be elsewhere in the pizza plex- or at their homes- so he could understand their problematic schemes. That was until some of them began to target Moon. Why? Sun didn't know.. and even if Moon did- he certainly wasn't going to tell him anything any time soon. From what Sun had seen- the group of kids would often offend him or mock him, they would make ridiculous messes just to inconvenience the lunar attendant. Moon became gradually more distant as they continued and Sun feared that his brother would one day simply refuse to leave their room. He was afraid that his brother would become afraid of the children. He knew that Moon was suffering, but there was nothing he could do! He wished- but he couldn't do anything but ban them- to which Moon had begged him not to.. he only wanted the best for his brother! He hoped he could help more soon..

Moon didn't know that his brother was aware of the groups consistent nagging and behaviours- he'd thought that his brother was none the wiser! Sun was quite naïve after all.. that was why he wouldn't tell him about any of it. The kids were being kids! At least that was how Moon justified them to Sun whenever he asked if they were an issue.

Moon knew why older kids picked on him- they found him plain. Not that he wasn't fun or that he put everyone to sleep at nap time- just the fact that they thought he was more machine-like then his brother! What's worse is that they didn't think Moon had any kind of personality or emotions like Sun did. Sun had the same problem when the daycare was first opened on the grand opening of the pizza plex! There had been almost one hundred children that day-
