Birthdays! (All animatronics!) Part 1: Sun

A/N : Here is the first part of this little idea that I had! Hope you enjoy! TW: anxiousness and a little bit of sadness. (not an angst story!)

Sun was always used to throwing birthday parties for the little children in the daycare, and he absolutely adored it. He loved all the party games and all the fun that they always had on birthdays, so naturally, when Sun's birthday came around each year, Moon always tried his best to make Sun's day the best of the year. It took some convincing, but with the help of Lunar, Moon managed to get Eclipse on board aswell. They ended up deciding to throw Sun a surprise party, with a small, accidental twist. While the three of them were busy getting Sun's surprise party ready, they had accidentally ignored Sun for the whole day and the days before. Always having to rush away as to not ruin the surprise so they began making silly excuses. Sun might have taken their ignorance the wrong way and grew anxious and afraid that his friends had stopped liking him, he tried to ask the others what was 'wrong' but always recieved an excuse from them allowing them to leave, unintentionally making Sun extremely upset. Not to mention that he thought that they didn't even care for his birthday! But that evening made it all worthwhile for them: Sun waved goodbye to the last child at the daycare with a big, bright smile on his face as he giggled at the child's happiness. As soon as the pair were out of sight, however, Sun's smile quickly faded as he remembered the other animatronics behaviour for the past few days. At first he had thought that they were playing a simple prank on him, but as the behaviour continued he started to get doubts in his mind. Sun turned around and walked back to the large door to the daycare, grabbing his left arm as a self-conscious habit. As he opened the door, he was used to expecting Moon to run up to him and ask how his day was, with Eclipse and Lunar bickering quietly in the background. Sun had his hopes up for a moment but lost them quickly when he saw and heard nothing.. did he do something wrong? He walked in slowly, closing the door behind him and looked around for any sign of the others, finding nothing. A small frown beginning to form on his face as he looked down, a single tear falling from his synthetic eyes, followed by another and then another. He let out a shaky breath and was about to retreat to his now empty room when he heard a strange sound coming from the party rooms. No harm in checking it out, thought Sun, approaching the door to the special rooms. Just before he opened the door he was grabbed from behind and had a blindfold placed over his eyes. Sun let out a shocked yelp, getting pulled into the room. He panicked as he was placed into a chair, but was left dumbfounded when the blindfold was taken off of his face. There were at least one hundred balloons and confetti everywhere, with a giant banner hung above a table covered in snacks of all kinds and presents with big bold writing saying 'Happy Birthday Sun!' in three different colours. Eclipse, Moon and Lunar were stood around the table, responsible for the little celebration. Sun had a look of pure happiness on his face and he began stimming subconciously, shooting up from his chair and capturing the others in a tight group hug, "I thought you guys hated me!" Sun exclaimed, taking the others off guard slightly. 'Why would we hate you Sunlight?' asked Moon, his voice gentle, "Well- you've all been ignoring me for days now and I thought that- you guys might have gotten sick of me" Sun pulled back from his hug looking away slightly before Moon and the others pulled him back, 'We could never get sick of you Sunny!' Lunar chirped bouncing around, 'We all love you!' he giggled drawing out the 'all' while spinning around like a child would. Even Eclipse gave a slight nod and hummed while he hugged Sun. The four of them then began to celebrate Sun's birthday, promising not to scare him like that again. Especially Ecilpse, when he realised how much he terrified Sun with his blindfold trick. Thankfully, Sun was quick to forgive him, even though Eclipse kept giving silent sorrys throughout the night. They played many of Sun's favourite games! And ended the night with a session of arts and crafts before cuddling up together to sleep peacefully in Lunar's elevated bed (since he insisted they would all be more comfortable even though he just wanted them to have fun!). Sun fell asleep last, with a big smile on his face, snuggling more into the others. He would make sure to remember this birthday! It was certainly the best one yet!

A/N: Some people might be confused as to how the animatronics have birthdays! In my AU all animatronics see the day they came online as their birthdays once they become sentient! The order of the daycare attendants goes like this in my AU: Sun came online first in the daycare, while Moon came online about a week later when he was finished. Eclipse then came online a few months before Lunar did! However, they don't really count their age, they are animatronics after all. So Sun and Lunar see Moon and Eclipse as older! While Moon and Eclipse see Sun and Lunar as the younger ones, as their behaviours would suggest! Sorry that I kind of rambled on here- Hope you have a good morning/afternoon/night!! -Alireta
