Ignorance💔💜(Sun x Moon)

Apologies if some of this doesn't make sense! I was very tired while I was writing it!

Sun was a happy and energetic partner- Moon knew this better than anyone- and he would always make sure that Sun knew that he treasured him for it, encouraging him to be himself and feel free around him. That encouragement had helped Sun overcome many of his incredible anxieties which he suffered from at the start of their friendship! Some, however, carried on into their growing relationship.. anxieties and fears that Sun never told Moon about.. Before Moon, Sun couldn't talk about his feelings, whether good or bad. With Moon's help, of course, he got much better! He was more comfortable, he still hesitated to mention anything to the  Glamrocks- or any other animatronic he became friends with, that wouldn't stop Sun from trying his best to be open and happy! Moon was proud of Sun's progress! However, given their powerful trust in each other- Moon never expected that Sun would be too afraid to talk to him..

Before Moon- and for the first few months of them working together- if Sun was uncomfortable, he would simply suck it up- forcing a smile- and when he was happy? He said nothing. Never mentioning positives besides praising or congratulating the children- He was much too afraid that whatever had made him happy would be taken away from him. This is how their relationship started- with Sun avoiding Moon, too scared to admit his fondness of the nighttime animatronic, for fear of him leaving- and Moon being confused at his solar companion's extreme hesitance. Despite Sun's fears- Moon never once judged or had any negative thoughts about him, only wanting to help- and in his efforts- Moon became preoccupied often..

Sun was wondering through the daycare, cleaning up any stray messes or tossing forgotten balls from the ballpit back in after being strewn around from a long day of playing. Usually Moon would help too, and they would make a game out of the chores! Playing a silly mini version of dodgeball in the daycare as they cleaned- always making a bigger mess at the end, but hey, it was still fun!

Speaking of- where was Moon? Sun questioned. He began to search the play structures, nope- no Moon in there- so he continued to search just outside of the daycare- checking the nets while he was at it too, knowing that when Moon was tired he would often become tangled and stuck high in the nets. Other times, he simply shut down outside of the daycare doors- he had been suffering through a tremendous phase of not sleeping as of late, worrying Sun to no end.

Of course, Sun knew that they were animatronics and that a lack of charging certainly would not kill them.. but he also knew that he did not want Moon randomly shutting down throughout the plex, if a bot found him more than 3 times- he would certainly be flagged as bugged- Sun wouldn't see him for ages as they fixed him. He was absolutely not a fan of that outcome.. so why couldn't Moon just charge?? He knew Sun got worried easily, It didn't make sense- was.. was he cutting his charging hours to.. to avoid him? Was he sick of him? Had Sun done something to push Moon away..?

Pools of hateful thoughts flooded his terrified mind, seeming to drag him down into a mental ocean- with no beam to pull him out, or anchor to bring him back to reality. He carried on being consumed by his mind as he desperately scratched at the thoughts, struggling to push them away, to brush them into a corner to forget about.. just like he used to.. "huh? Ah?!" Sun had waltzed right into something, causing both to thud onto the ground, Sun rubbed his head and rays for a moment, recalibrating himself after the sudden fall. He lifted his head cautiously- afraid he had run into one of the glamrocks or security bots. Instead, he was met with Moon's still face, he was out of charge, again.. Sun sighed heavily, getting up carefully and lifting his partner with him. He cried softly as he returned to their shared room, he had charged longer than usual deliberately, so that if Moon was out of charge again- he could stay awake long enough to, hopefully, speak to him.

- when Moon finishes charging -

Sun had sat patiently at Moon's side for five hours now- he sat slumped, resting his head on his hands as he waited with his eyes closed, beginning to get tired from his own battery. He sighed sadly, about to leave and give up to charge- suddenly Moon's systems beeped online and his mechanical body began to whirr loudly as he rebooted. Sun shot up, full of energy again at his partners movements, ready to question the world out of Moon as soon as he opened his eyes- but just as Sun opened his eyes, Moon shot up at him, embracing him in a tight hug. To say Sun was surprised was an understatement- he was expecting a 'hmf' or a shrug from his partner at his presence, maybe even a scolding for being so close or for bothering him, certainly not a big hug- not that he was complaining.

Sun quickly melted at Moon's touch, almost forgetting why he had been so tense just moments before.. but as soon as he remembered he began shedding accidental tears- he panicked- he didn't want to cry onto Moon! What if he thought that he was weak or stupid- what if Moon was disgusted by his tears- what if this was one of the reasons that he had been ignoring Sun lately..? He was always crying, he knew that children crying stressed Moon out.. and all he had done was become yet another stress to his love- another burden...

Moon awoke startled, he was not ready for Sun to be right in front of him, though if he was honest- he should've expected this sooner rather then later- he hasn't had any time to spend with his Star, but he swore it wasn't on purpose! He could never be away from his Star for too long- which is why Monty constantly needing Moon's help to fix Monty Golf had been so annoying, damn gator needing stupid upgrades for his dumb park.. he tried to get back to Sun often- risking his battery life dying on him just to get back to the daycare, refusing to charge at Monty's attraction. Sadly enough- his battery was stupidly unreliable- he almost always ran out of battery before getting back to his Sun, and yet, he was still very stubborn.

Today had been no exception, he left Monty, got to the daycare and blam! Dead. So waking up to see his dearest Sun was nothing less than a blessing to him. But.. as happy as he was.. he took a singular glance at his Star and knew everything- he had misunderstood Moon, he was afraid that Moon hated him.. the only thing Moon hated was to see his Sunray discontent and anxious, hence, he immediately hugged him. He may have interrupted Sun, but right now, he only wanted to make things right.. then he felt tears.. and he felt one trillion times more guilty than before..

Moon pulled away slightly from Sun, with Sun's eyes immediately widening in fear of Moon leaving. His fearful eyes soon became surprised as Moon reached up his clawed hands, as carefully as possible, and placed them gently around Sun's faceplate- bringing him closer and putting their foreheads together gently, kissing Sun on the nose delicately as he cracked a small smile at his lover.

Sun's tears had stopped- purely out of surprise- and Moon began speaking to him, clearing up Sun's mind of all fearful thoughts, telling him about Monty and about how desperate he was to return every night. Moon was pouring out apology after apology to his partner, eyes shut tight as he spoke quickly. Not realising that his previously distressed lover had completely forgiven him- at least not until Sun was shaking Moon lightly, snapping him out of his apologetic frenzy.

Both were silent for a moment before they burst out laughing, pulling each other into another embrace and toppling over in their laughing fit. Moon smothered Sun in kisses as they laughed, Moon pulling a smug expression before quickly pinning Sun to the ground. Sun paused in surprise for a second, contemplating whether to speak, only to be interrupted yet again by Moon attacking him with tickles- Sun shrieked as he giggled losing his mechanical breath as Moon viciously tickled his sides with no mercy, their laughter echoing throughout the plex for the remainder of the night, as they played various games and enjoyed each others giddy company.
