A/N: IMPORTANT! Sun and Moon are NOT siblings or anything close to relatives in this story! Apologies for any potential typos! This is part one of two that I plan on writing! No smut in this part, but there will be in the next! Hopefully the story doesn't turn out to be too cringe- this is my first time writing any romance related thing! Moon was sat on top of one of the play structures, lost in thought. He was in love with Sun... and he was scared.. he knew that Sun would never pick up on his hints- no matter how obvious they were. He was simply too innocent and oblivious to notice- not that Moon minded!

In truth, Moon thought that Sun's cluelessness was adorable! Even if that meant that he would never have Sun as his boyfriend- It was much better having him as a permanent friend than facing rejection from the one he had grown to love so much. He could hide his emotions if it meant that he could see Sunny's bright smile every day! He was just happy that he was lucky enough to even know Sun in the first place. His train of thought was interrupted by the cheery sing-song voice of his cru- friend ringing around the daycare. "Moony!! I'm back!!!" He chirped, dragging out the 'A'.

Moon chuckled at Sun's energy and began getting up to go and greet his newly returned robotic co-worker. He summoned his cable, attaching and gliding back down to the floor, surprised when he was immediately tackled into a tight hug. The pair toppled over, with Sun's leap onto Moon pushing them straight into the ballpit- both of them erupting in giddy laughter at their goofy antics.

Sun cuddled up to Moon even more as he giggled happily, causing Moon to blush at his cuteness- he squeezed Sun right back thinking about how adorable he was, Sun telling him jokes and dramatically recounting his day to Moon, with plenty of silly remarks and jokes throughout his stories aswell, Moon giggled slightly at one of Sun's little joke-like remarks absent-mindedly "I love you so much.." suddenly Sun tenses in Moon's arms sitting up in the ballpit looking up at Moon in shock.. "y-you l-love me??" He said, surprise evident in his voice, Moon shot up wide eyed, he didn't mean to say that out loud! Not at all.. now he had screwed up... it would never be the same between them again- ever. And it was all his fault..

Tears pricked at the corners of Moon's eyes as he realised the severity of his mistake. He got up, profusely apologising to Sun as he scrambled to escape the ballpit, unable to face him after what he had just said, tears pouring down his face as he ran, terrified. Anywhere but the daycare was fine- he didn't know if he would ever have the courage to return.. the thought shattered him...

Meanwhile, a stunned and flustered Sun sat motionlessly in the ballpit, momentarily forgetting how to move as he processed Moon's words.. oh no.. Moon! He had been so flustered by his sudden confession that he had forgotten to respond, and stop him from running away.. oh no... he probably thought that Sun hated him now- that wouldn't do! No way would Sun let Moon feel so low and stay in such a big misunderstanding!

He too began scrambling from the ballpit, running after Moon as best he could, doing his best to try and figure out where the night animatronic had run too..

It had been at least 15 minutes of Sun's searching, and he was just about to admit defeat- tears of his own prickling at his eyes too. He had let Moon down..Wait- he heard something.. w-was that crying? Oh stars.. it was Moon crying... Sun cursed himself for causing Moon so much despair- but when he reached the origin of the crying, he found that he couldn't reach Moon.. he had hidden himself high up among the pipes and the various metal beams on the tall ceiling of the pizzaplex's stage area. Sun only knew two ways he could even dream of getting to Moon:

One: He could risk using their shared cable- but Sun was notorious for getting himself stuck on it or even damaging himself by accident.. and that was only the daycare! Who knows what would happen if he messed up here?? No.. this wouldn't be smart..

Two: He could yell up to Moon to try and convince him to come down.. that sounded three times as hopeless as the first option.. but it wasn't dangerous at least?

No. Sun was done hesitating now, though his fear and deep anxiety reflecting in his eyes betrayed his expression of confidence and bravery severely, he wanted to help Moon more than he was scared now.. even if he had no idea what to say- he was still shocked from Moon's confession. Still flustered out of his mind- he had no idea Moon had any feelings towards him! He always thought he only cared for him as a best friend, like he did! Or.. did he..?

Thinking now as he began to carefully elevate himself with the wire, he did love Moon! He loved him greatly! His laugh, his smile, the way that he made Sun feel so safe and carefree in his arms! He only hoped that Moon would believe him... that's when it happened.. the cable snapped....

Moon heard a snap and a sharp yelp from below him, followed by a terrified scream- Sun's scream.. oh stars... he swung around the pipe he was resting on, forgetting about his tears as he reached out, grabbing onto Sun's wrist mid-fall stopping Sun's scream in a split second, his terrified eyes staring down to the floor below them and up into Moon's tear filled ones soon after, almost begging him to lift them up. Just as Moon had planned to regardless.

Then, Moon hoisted themselves up, back onto the secure metal pipes and structures. Sun quickly scrambling as far from the edges of the structure as possible, his terror only growing in his eyes as he realised how truly, incredibly high they were, whimpering slightly. Breaking Moon's already shattered heart.

He reached out, grabbing Sun's arms pulling him towards himself. Cradling Sun's shaking form nervously, scared that he was invading Sun's space. He hushed Sun slightly and summoned their backup cable, gently carrying Sun back to the daycare, once he had landed in their room, he promptly put Sun down turning away from him in shame. Shame for his stupid emotions.. First he had scared Sun with his dumb confession! And now Sun was shaking like a newborn kitten from his near death experience- ALL BECAUSE OF HIM.

Moon was truly ashamed.. tears once again pouring down his face as he hugged himself. Then he felt  hand on his shoulder, pulling him backwards onto Sun's bed- taking Moon off guard. He felt Sun's careful arms wrap around him, pulling him into a loving embrace, turning Moon so that he could face Sun. Moon was shocked, and returned the much needed embrace to Sunny, only leaving him with his anxiety from his earlier words, Sun was gently stroking Moon's head, rocking him slightly- an attempt to soothe Moon's nerves, succeeding immensely.

"Sun, I-" he tried, "I love you too Moony" Sun blurted out, cutting Moon off. Moon was stunned.. "y-you do-o??" He whimpered, voice cracking as he spoke, stuttering from his nerves. "Of course I do! I'm sorry for being so useless earlier.. I didn't mean to give you the idea that I hated you, not ever!!" He explained, only holding Moon now, confirming his words with a loving look, powerful in his big pale eyes and he spoke to Moon, who was looking up at him in return.

There was a strong giddiness growing both inside of Moon and outside of him, a large grin on his face with his miserable tears being replaced with happy ones at their new found love. "T-then, will you be my boyf-friend??" Moon asked, large, wine coloured hopeful eyes seeking their final reassurance.

A happy 'yes' exploding from Sun, as Moon leaned forwards slightly, Sun gleeful infront of him. Moon held onto Sun's face carefully, tracing the mask as they locked lips.. both of them smiling into the kiss as Moon gently pushed Sun backwards onto his bed, deepening the kiss.

The two kissed for a while longer before separating slightly, looking lovingly into each others eyes, whispering soft 'I love yous' to each other as they cuddled and kissed, grateful for this moment, hoping that it would never, ever end.
