Accident!💚(Human AU! All four!) Part 3!

Lunar's uncertainty only grew as they pulled into the driveway of their home. He was getting frantic- he didn't want this! This was too much! He would regret this- he knew he would! .. All because of a stupid accident.. and it was his fault.. he should've gotten so scared, he shouldn't have jumped- he was losing himself in his thoughts so much that he hadn't even noticed the tears falling down his fearful pale face until the warm arms of his brothers wrapped around him. They sat on either side of him on the backseats embracing him tightly, letting him feel safe in their comforting arms.

As Lunar cried more and more tears and as he shook from his anxiousness, Moon and Eclipse shared a sad look. They knew that Lunar was happy about getting home, and they knew that he was desperate to see Sunny again.. they also knew that this anxiety wouldn't go away easily. Lunar was scared of things being awkward or different with Sunny. He didn't want Sun to treat him like he was made of glass- but Eclipse knew that that was definitely going to be the case. Lunar also didn't want there to be a fearful silence between them- not even for a little while. But Moon knew that neither of them would be able to start casually..

But! They had hope that the tensions between the two youngers would only last a few days, maybe a week or so at most! It would be hard for the two to see past the event- but they would. The elder brothers knew it. And they didn't hesitate to make sure that Lunar knew it too, they nuzzled the top of their nervous siblings head and whispered kind words to him. Eclipse rubbed Lunar's back calmingly while Moon wiped away the tears on his face. Lunar had almost completely stopped panicking once he allowed himself to feel his brother's affections and he could feel both his heartbeat and his breathing slow down to a happy level again.

Lunar smiled up at them after some minutes had passed, beyond grateful for his brothers. He was still nervous, but nowhere near as much! Then, Eclipse gasped, not a bad gasp- but he and Moon had no time to ask Eclipse why seeing as he had already jumped out of the car and was opening the back. Moon and Lunar shared a look of utter confusion as Eclipse shut the back and hopped back in next to them again- he had the brightest, most prideful grin on his face as he pushed a plushie into Lunar's lap...

Moon and Eclipse saw Lunar's expression of clueless confusion shift as his eyes brightened and his face seemed to glow- Moon hadn't seen Lunar have such a happy expression in a long while- not since his and Sun's little competition had started a few months ago. Lunar practically leapt onto Eclipse, giving him a tight, thankful squeeze before he cuddled into the plush.

Moon was so focused on Lunar's reaction that he hadn't even seen what the plush was- "Hey Lunie! Let me see what Eclipse got you!" Lunar looked up at him smiling, he held up the plushie to his brother with a look of happiness similar to a dog showing you their favourite toy, "It's Floofle!" He yelled, beaming up at Moon. Indeed it was- a galaxy themed wolf plushie that Lunar had gotten as a present from the solar brothers when the four were little! It had been Lunar's favourite cuddle buddy since that very moment so of course he'd be overjoyed to see him again!

"When me and Sun got back yesterday- I couldn't shake off my worry for you guys. So I put little Floofs in the back ready for you today so that I would forget to bring him!" Eclipse smiled at them, proud of the fact that he remembered the toy, "though it would seem that I forgot about that until literally five minutes ago" he laughed and Lunar giggled at his silliness too. "Can we- can we go inside now? I wanna see Sunny!" The older brothers smiled widely, Eclipse patted Lunar's back "there's the eager little moonbeam I know!" The other two laughed and Lunar hugged him, giggling, "empowered by the power of the Floof!" He said, stumbling over Moon and getting out of the car, doing a little happy dance on the driveway.

The elder brothers followed him and Eclipse went to unlock the front door "I don't know whether Sun's awake yet or not- so try not to be too loud" he warned happily. As soon as the lock clicked open, Lunar shot in through the door. He practically threw his shoes onto the rack and hung his coat up just as quickly, running straight through the living room, through their second part of the living room and darting into the kitchen to seize his breakfast in mere seconds. Moon and Eclipse had just barely stepped into the first room to put away their shoes and were frozen in surprise at Lunar's speed.

"Damn Moon- did you guys starve him at the hospital?" Moon laughed a bit "well, by the looks of it we might as well have- guess the crisps I got from the vending machines weren't cutting it" now it was Eclipse's turn to chuckle "yeah- he rivals you from the school cafeteria from year 7 and 8 in high school" Moon's offended face made him have to hold back a wheeze "hey! You weren't any better!" Moon playfully jabbed Eclipse's shoulder. They heard Lunar start putting food on the table "let's hurry up before he eats the entire kitchen" Eclipse's stomach rumbled and he nodded "agreed"

Lunar had set up the table, four plates and he got out enough food for the whole group! But what about Sunny? Eclipse and Moon walked in and immediately noticed and praised Lunar's preparation "I can go get Sunny if you guys are want? He'd probably be calmest if it was me anyways" Moon thought for a moment, "yeah, that's probably the most logical.. Lunie?" Lunar stared into space for a few seconds, gathering his nerves and taking a few deep breaths "Yes please Clipse" and Eclipse was off.

"How about you take a seat Lunie? I'll finish making the drinks and get a couple more snacks, k?" Lunar sat on his chair, hugging Floofle tightly and burying his head into his soft fur. He curled up into a little ball "Moony?" He whispered, barely audible. Moon hummed back as he was making a drink "d-do you think that me and Sunny'll get along again?" He heard Moon walk over to him.

"Lunie, I need you to listen to me, ok?" Lunar nodded lifting his head to look at his brother as he spoke, "I know that you feel like your accident was your fault, but I can promise you that it wasn't. Sunny got carried away, he knows that you don't react well to loud noises but he was too into your game to remember. Just because it was you that got scared doesn't mean that your accident was your fault" he spoke with a loving tone and he held his brothers face lightly, pressing his forehead against Lunar's like their mother used to.

"promise me that you'll try not to blame yourself?" Lunar nodded "I'll try.." Moon lifted Lunar up into his arms and took his out through the door in the kitchen to the garden. He sat down with his brother in his lap on his favourite swinging chair, looking out over the many flowers and plants they the four had planted together and looking out onto a pond that they had made. A few ducks resting on the water in the morning sun. Moon took out one of his glittery blue paint pens that he draws with- one of many. Then he took out some more and some more.

"Hey Lunie? Can you give me your arm for a bit? The one with the cast?" Lunar was confused but held out his arm for his brother. Moon held it gently and Lunar returned to looking out at the ducks and listening to the other birds in their garden. He had no idea how much time had passed when his brother spoke to him. "Lunie, look!" Moon had let go of Lunar's arm and Lunar looked down at it...

He almost couldn't believe what he was seeing. Moon had drawn the pond! With all the ducks and some flowers around it on his cast! Moon had written his name above it in cursive- it was amazing.. Lunar teared up and hugged his brother, thanking him for his incredible drawing "now whenever you see your cast, instead of feeling sad or guilty- you'll see the ducks and the pond and you'll feel happy instead!" They smiled for a while longer and moon had gotten some corn and peas from the kitchen so that Lunar could give the ducks some breakfast too while they waited for Eclipse to get Sun. He loved seeing his brother so happy, he just hoped that when Eclipse came back Sun could convince Lunar that he wouldn't treat him differently.. and he hoped that Lunar would be able to forgive him..

Even though he blames himself now, Moon knows that the second Lunar sees Sun he will be too afraid of him to talk.. for now- all he could do now was hope for the best.
