Chapter 4

Grass is sticking to my fucking shins because I'm so sweaty, making me itchy.

Ace bombs the footy toward us, just as I jump up to catch the the ball, Elias somehow manages to launch himself higher, blocks Kelani and catches the ball.

Fuck this cunt can jump. Kelani falls to the ground, i laugh at how she just stations herself on her back. That's what I'd do if I got dropped like that, just accept my defeat.

Elias laughs in my face as he celebrates and shoves me. I lose my footing as I spin and see that I almost stepped on Kelani.

Out of breath, I can't balance myself and end up tripping over, almost squashing her, before I catch myself with my arms on either side of her head on the ground.

Looking down on her, our faces inches apart, I notice she actually has emerald eyes in the sun.

"My bad ma'am" I say, practically panting over her.

I realise she's hyperventilating, and she hasn't blinked since I've fallen ontop if her, as if she just saw someone get shot infront of her.

"That's a bit dramatic don't you think, it's just a game" I laugh in her face

She stares at me, eyes still wide open and pupils dialated.

Before I can get myself off of her she pushes me off and quickly jumps up, panting.

Why's she reacting like this? Ace tries to ask if she's okay but she pushes him away and runs off.

"The fuck was that about" Elias laughs

"I'm not sure but she had a type of look on her face that didn't sit right with me" Ace says watching her run.

"Made you uncomfortable?" I ask

"No, worried me"

At the end of the day, we made our way to our last class of the day. Thank god we have this class together. I didn't feel like putting up with the same girls trying to get me in their pants for the sixth session in a row.

At least when I'm with my mates some of them pussy out and don't try flirting. As if I can't see them glancing at me and trying to fuck me with their eyes anyway.

We enter the classroom and take our seats. Health and Human development. Not a bad class, but still fucking boring. It's the same shit from high school just wider and bigger vocabulary.

"Pass me a pen" Elias says to Ace

Ace ignores him as he pulls out his books from his bag

"Oi" Elias pokes Ace's temple

Ace laughs "cry bro cry cry... oof" Ace slaps a pen infront of him.

Just then a knock is heard at the door and Kelani walks in with her hands in her pockets, hair messy and cheeks flushed red.

She apologises to the teacher and turns to the rest of class, her eyes land on our table.

Her eyes stay on Elias as he continues writing down his notes. She inhaled deeply and looks away, she sees me and when she realises I was watching her she blinks away walking toward the table in front of ours.

She wants to fuck him. Either that or she likes him. Either way she's so obvious.

"Sorry that seats taken"

Kelani apologises and glances around the room to see any free seats.

She already saw that there's two free seats on our table, yet she doesn't come over right away. What's her problem? Whatever, I knew she was weird.
