Music pounds in my ears  when i step back inside the club. Bodies are rubbing against eachother as 'take you down' pounds through the spreaders and vibrates the floors.

Ace points to the dance floor "you see them?"

I squint my eyes trying to identify whatever faces I can see. The lighting is dark for the most part, until a spotlight flashes on a certain spot around the club before shifting quickly somewhere else.

We step in further into the dance floor, shoulders hit mine, elbows swing near my face, and I swear to god if someone nudges my ribs again, I'm going to break theirs.

"Mateo!" Ace yells through the music, trying to get my attention. I turn to him, some girl has his hand around his nape, he keeps shoving her hand away.
"Do you see Kelanis uncle anywhere?" He questions, still trying to push the girls hand away from his chest.

I shake my head "no he wanted to keep watch with the men outside, I'm not sure if he came in while we were in the alley."

He sighs and continues to scan the dance floor, it gets to the point where the same blonde bitch manages to get her hand over Aces' crotch.

He widens his eyes and jerks back, glaring at her as she laughs and asks him to keep his attention on her. She tries grabbing him again. He tells her to back up, she doesn't listen.

Ace would never in a million years touch a female even if it was out of self defence.
I on the other hand, am not so kind.

I grab the girls wrist and shake her straight, her eyes freeze open on me as I tower over her.

"Just because you're a woman, miss... doesn't give you the pass to assault. Doesn't spare you from getting your wrists broken either." I bend back her hand slightly, keeping my stare on her. She gulps, Ace sighs and looks away.

"Now I'm sure you're familiar with the term no means no... yes?" I tilt my head and tighten my grip, she winced and nods rapidly.

"Good. It applies to men too." I tug on her wrist when she tries to look away, her brown eyes are back on me, full of freight.

"Do you understand?" I raise a brow. She nods twice, I shove her away, letting go of her wrist. She blinks and skips away.

Ace frowns at me, I shrug. "You didn't need to do all that." He says, walking beside me as we go back to searching for mine or Kelanis relatives.

"Yes I did because you weren't defending yourself." I respond, looking toward the exit. He sighs and turns away.

When I see the doors for the exit swinging open, my eyes freeze on the sight of my mother and Camilla both trying to wriggle out of the grasp of a large man who has their petite bodies trapped between his chest and arms. I turn my body and see dad unconscious, carried out by another man.
