33. Moonlight

Summary: 'When he's holding me tight, and he calls me moonlight too'

You're not sure when the last time you felt like this was, and you weren't sure how it had actually happened with Tommy Shelby of all people or how it had now been over a year.

You had heard about his reputation, sure you'd speculated with your friends and then one night he was asking you to dinner and you hadn't looked back.

It's the way he looks at you, when you're alone as if you've promised him the world. The way he drops kisses to your cheek when you're leaving dinners or parties, letting people know you're his.

How he spins you into his chest when he finds you swaying softly to the wireless, holds you around the waist and dances slowly with you, his cheek pressed to yours, eyes closed like he's finally found peace.

It's the way he humors you when you've been in the kitchen baking, showing up in his office with the finished product, placing a slice of cake in front of him, slipping onto the edge of his desk, he happily eats half of the slice, dabbing buttercream onto the tip of your nose.

It's the way his blue eyes light up even more when you tell him that you're expecting, that you'll going to be giving him his first child in the Summer, his forehead pressed to yours, you're sitting on the bathroom side, he's in between your legs hands on your thighs.

"Pol, told me we're having a girl" you smile, tears welling in your eyes.

He catches the few tears that have escaped with his thumb "a queen and her princess" his hand falls to your non exsistant bump.

It's how protected you feel when you're wrapped in his arms, in his kingsize bed, skin on skin, coming down from his breath taking touch, his lips peppering kisses to your skin .

He's whispering in your ear "you're my moonlight"
