You were sowly waking up, the pressure of Tommy's body on yours pulling you from your dreams "Tommy...Tommy... shush" you reached up to cup his cheek as his grip on your shoulder tightened, his legs thrashing under the sheets, the wind howling outside.
You wrapped your arms tight around his waist pulling him close against you "It's okay, you're home with me" you whispered in his ear, his body was trembling, sweat coating every inch of his skin, breathing heavy in your ear as his eyes slowly opened, he was open mouthed and panting his eyes wide searching the dark for your face, for his comfort.
Your fingers were slowly dancing across the warm skin of his waist "It's okay" your lips on his neck leaving soft bruising kisses on the skin "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" he breathed out in a whisper head buried in the crook of your neck, "you're safe" you were cupping the back of his neck as he lent down to press his lips with yours, something to ground him to bring him back out of the tunnels, bring him home safe to you once more.
