"I think we should stop seeing each other."

Haeun's smile disappeared from her face as the corners of her lips slowly dropped. The fork that was being used to eat the pastries that she had brought for her and her boyfriend slowly dropped in front of her. She felt her entire world screech to a halt and slowly become blank at her boyfriend's words.

"W-what?" She managed to muster out. She felt her lips trembling as she spoke those words.

"I think we should break up." Her boyfriend repeated.

"Taeyong, what are you talking about?" Haeun asked, confused about the situation.

She thought everything was going well for them. Of course she knew that it was kind of hard to see each other but they promised each other that they'll get through this together. They always made sure that they would communicate each other's feelings so they didn't have any misunderstandings. They tried their best so they didn't come to the conclusion of a breakup.

"Did I do something wrong?" Haeun questioned him. "If I did, I would rather you tell me so I can work it out with you."

"No, you did nothing wrong. I just lost the spark with you." Taeyong simply stated, trying his best to keep an emotionless face.

"What do you mean?" Haeun tried to take a step closer to Taeyong, who was sitting on the chair against the wall.

"I said I don't feel the spark between us! I feel nothing with you anymore." Taeyong bursted out, making Haeun take a few steps back in surprise. Taeyong rarely got mad at Haeun and if he did, he never yelled at her. Never in their two years of them dating had he ever raised his voice at his girlfriend.

But today, the Taeyong sitting in front of her was talking in a foreign tone with a foreign facial expression. Everything he was doing at the moment was foreign to Haeun. It felt like a whole new person was standing in front of her.

Taeyong sighed as he hung his head and dug his fingers into his hair with his elbows on his knees.

"Taey-" Haeun tried to call out to him one last time with her hand outstretched, but as soon as Taeyong lifted his head, she halted in her steps. His once warm eyes turned icy cold. It was almost as if he was signaling her not to come any closer with his eyes.

Haeun could feel her eyes well up in tears as she dropped her hand to the side. "Fine. If this is what you want. It's over." She tried to keep her voice straight but eventually failed when she felt herself choke up when she finished her sentence.

Wiping her tears with the sleeves of her sweater. She walked across the practice room towards the door. Each step to the door got heavier, as more tears started to fall down her face. When she finally reached the door, she turned to see Taeyong for the last time.

Pathetic how she was actually hoping for him to hold her back. To say he was sorry and that he meant none of what he said previously. To tell her that he still felt the sparks between them. To confess his love for her again. But that small sliver of hope felt like it was being snatched from her when she saw Taeyong still sitting on the chair, looking down on the wooden floor. She whipped her head around and felt strands of her hair sticking to her cheeks because of her tears but she didn't care about any of that. She quickly opened the door and stepped out, slamming the door behind her.

She slightly stumbled back when she saw the NCT 127 members standing beside the door, looking at her with pity in their eyes. And before one of them could say anything to her, she spun around and ran to the elevator. The last thing she wanted was for people to pity her. As for now, she simply wanted to get out of the building that was slowly suffocating her. Even seeing pictures of the NCT members in the hallways made Haeun think back to all of her fun moments with Taeyong. She felt her chest tighten when she felt the elevator come to a stop and it felt like an eternity before the elevator doors opened to the first floor.
