"Let's break up," says the girl in monotone.
Donghyuck inhaled sharply and looked at her. "And I'm asking you why, Jihyun."
"I do not think that is your concern now, Donghyuck. This is just a contract marriage for both of our families." Jihyun told him, staring out the window. Donghyuck sighed and held her hand, only for Jihyun to shake it away.
"Jihyun...but we are dating- "
"Were." She corrected Donghyuck.
"Yes, okay. But we were dating for real, right? You told me you loved me...was that a lie?" He fought his tears focusing on the girl who had no emotions or whatsoever. No signs of guilt, nor affection. Nothing.
It took a minute for her to answer. "Yes, it was a lie." Donghyuck felt his soul being sucked out of his body. His heart crushed and his chest being stabbed multiple times. Agonizing, it was.
He chuckled in despair. "Why did I even believe it? What an idiot I am." Donghyuck glared at Jihyun, but she was unfazed by it.
He stood up, with disappointment in his face. "Well then, goodbye."
Once she heard the door close, she broke down. The tears fell down as she held her chest attempting to calm herself down. "It's for the best, Jung Jihyun. For the best."
It was a moment in life she fell in love, yet she wasted it.
But she knew it was the best decision she could choose.
