A Moment to Last Forever

The rain was pouring down harshly on the roof, the sound calming as some random movie played in the background.

All that mattered to me in this moment was the male under me. His hands wrapped lazily around my waist, heartbeat loud in my ear as we cuddled up on the couch, a blanket wrapped around us so that we could trap the warmth between our bodies.

I highly doubt either of us were paying any attention to anything going on around us.

I slowly turned my gaze to his face. His eyes were half lidded as he stared at the tv, his breathing even and soft, as if he had fallen asleep like that. But I knew better.

I reached up slowly, running my fingers through his freshly dyed hair, pouting a little. "I miss your cruella hair..." I mumbled softly, my voice barely passing a whisper.

I watched his lips stretch into a lazy, but happy smile as he turned his tired gaze to me.

"I'm sorry it's gone my prince, maybe someday I'll have it dyed like that again, since you liked it so much." He muttered, his voice at the exact same level as mine, not wanting to break the peaceful atmosphere we had created. I smiled sweetly and leaned up, carefully pecking his soft lips.

Before I could lean away, his calloused hand took place on the back of my neck, pulling me closer and deepening the kiss. I could taste the salted caramel ice cream we had eaten just moments before and smiled, letting my eyes flutter closed, relishing the moment.

Eventually we pulled away, soft smiles stretching our cheeks as we stared into each other's eyes. I could see every ounce of love he had for me right in that moment.

I felt like I was on top of the world, my king by my side. Nothing could come between us. Nothing could run us down. It was us, and only us. I smiled more at the thought, snuggling back into his chest, letting out a gentle and content sigh, feeling one of his hands start rubbing comforting stripes up and down my back as his fingers slowly raked through my hair, untangling any knots.

I felt like I was in heaven.

I wish I could just stop time right then and there and never leave this moment of serenity, tranquility, and comfort. Slowly, I let my eyes fall closed, being lulled gently to sleep by Renjuns soft snores and even heartbeat. I couldn't wipe the smile off my cheeks, even if I wanted to.
