Hanging out in the library, I sit on the window ledge with a stack of books in front of me. My eyes reading robotically from left to right, going down each page until I hear a whisper.
"Elias." The voice small and familiar, I perk up looking around me and through the book shelves. Finding brown ones peaking from in between the shelves a couple of rows away. Smiling behind the book as our eyes meet, seeing Juni hiding amongst the shelves.
Casually standing and strolling over to the isle next to his. Putting my back against the pearlescent stained book shelf, I can hear his gentle breathing from the other side.
"Juni." I whisper back, smiling to myself.
"Did you did that thing to Caleb?" He whispers and I whip around the bookshelf with a smile and wide eyes, making him jump back his face written with shock.
"Proudly." I giggle, sliding into the isle in front of him. "Why? You didn't like it?" I ask cocking an eyebrow at him, making him look down, his freckled face flushed.
OH HE'S SO ADORABLE!
"Ye-No!" He says quickly and I easily notice his darting eyes, his glowing yellow irises. Some people shouldn't have more than there own thoughts bouncing around in their head. "No, I-I-I...C-c-Caleb is...he is..."
I reach out and softly place a finger underneath his chin tilting his eyes back up to mine.
"Juni." I whisper, smiling sweetly at him.
"Y-yes?" He stutters.
"Does your head hurt?" I ask and he gives me a confused look but I wink at him. "I can make it go away. Would you like a little peace?"
There was a violent wave of gold striking hard in his eyes as he stared at me, he looked like I just offered him a buffet in his honor; But who ever was in his head obviously didn't like offer judging but how swiftly his face fell.
I didn't let my hand drop, however. I kept my index finger just underneath his chin, and soon he began to notice, eyes widening as the gold slowly faded away. I could feel his slow acceptance as the energy I pushed his way. Calm, sturdy, quiet...like a wall.
"Wow." He whispers as his eyes finally fell back into its original brown color. "H-how did you do that?"
"You know how petty alpha's always push?" I snort. "It's the same thing, but instead of heart stopping throat choking dominance, I choose to push quiet, serenity, and peace. Also it's probably annoying to have so many people in your head at once." I smile tilting my head to the side, he mimics my movements.
"My b-brother is pro-protective." He says, as if he's sure it's his brothers only intention for mucking around in his thoughts. His eyes looking away from mine made me laugh and his gaze shoots back up to mine.
"I'm sorry." I chuckle. "You don't really believe that do you?"
He seems confused by my question but I dismiss it.
"Come with me into town. I heard they have a mall, and I want to have a little fun before the school year sets in. You'd be the perfect company." I hold out my hand for him to take.
"My brother doesn't want me to hang out with you. He's says your bad news." His eyes look from my hand to the floor, ashamed.
"Ok. If that's how you feel." I shrug.
"That's-th-that's not me, that's my brother!" He speaks up defensively, I raise an eyebrow in challenge.
"But your listening a lot more to your brother than to your own thoughts. Sounds more like you two share a brain, so you share the same thoughts." I say and attempt to leave but he stops me again.
