"He doesn't know."
"The fuck you mean he doesn't know?" I almost snarl at him.
"The boy doesn't know where his father is. Searching his memory, I find nothing. Frank is smart enough to keep his whereabouts hidden, even from his son." He says smirking at me from behind the iron cage.
"What does Junior know?" I cross my arms, Juni standing beside me quietly watching.
"His name is Edward." Avis hums.
"I don't give a fuck what his name is! He's a terrorist! His father is a terrorist, who in fact was your fucking beta and now trying to finish what you started! Tell me what the bastard knows!" My anger rising and Avis leans in to the bars humming dreamily. Staring up at me with wistful eyes and I feel my body cringe in response. "Fuck, I hate you."
"How do we know he's telling the truth?" Juni asks, calmly putting his hand on my arm and pulling me away from the cell. Avis growling at our contact.
"I. Don't. Lie." He snarls. "I. Can't. Lie. Not to her." His eyes pinning on me. "Everything I say is the truth."
"I'm sorry if I'm not willing to believe the words of a pedophile." Juni shoots back cooly.
"Test me then." Avis shrugs. "Test me ask me anything and I'll tell you the truth."
"Juni don't." I warn. "We're for answers on Durroe, that's it!"
"Edward is a bastard of his father born from a prostitute, twenty-six years ago. Frank killed his mother when he was fourteen right in front of him. Got him ripe and ready to be a killer himself! Frank groomed the boy for gore and war and Edward found himself liking it. He was even apart of that ambush on Jericho-"
I freeze at the sound of my packs name. My blood running cold and Avis immediately stops talking. Juni turning to face me, eyes wide with alarm.
"My love,"
"Don't call me that." I say through gritted teeth.
"I never meant to make you hate me. All I wanted was your love. I wanted you with me, forever. You were so beautiful then, I had to have you!" Desperation reeking from his voice and Juni shudders next to me. "I loved you! I love you. All I wanted was for you to know that, my mate."
"She was nine!" Juni screams. His face turning red as his eyes for the first time flashed an angry shade of gold.
My nose and eyes burning as I turned away from the two. My hat feeling heavier and heavier as I feel tears rolling down my cheeks.
"She was only nine! She was a child, she was someone's baby! Because of your obsession, you committed mass genocide on the people she loved the most! She saw you take everything she's every known! Countless people gone, and she remembers all of their faces! It wasn't love, it was pain!" Juni screams echoing in the chambers, and I can't help the choked gasp that escaped me.
"Pain and love are the same thing, you insolent child!" Avis yells.
"You attacked a child!" Juni shoots back. "She will never love you!"
Avis and Juni growling at each other, and I quickly wipe away my tears, turning and grabbing Juni's arm pulling him back. I step in front of him squatting in front of the possessed son.
We're here for one thing.
"What does Edward know about the location of the poison?" My voice void of any emotion, Avis screaming through the darkened pupils.
"Frank left the manufacturing of the wine to his son. Trusted him to carry out the imports and exports of the whole operation."
"So where is the wine coming from?"
