"That's all, thanks for coming" I heaved a heavy sigh hearing the words I have been dreading to hear ever since this boring meeting started. This is not my thing to be precise but do I have a choice, no matter what I do my father won't take the title of the alpha away from me and I'm starting to regret ever telling him to step down. He should have stayed as the alpha and everything would have been the same. I shook my head standing up as I stretched picking up the files from the table wanting nothing but to go and rest.

I was so tired.

"Oh before you all leave, our king forgot to tell you something" We all halted in our steps, Alpha jasper who was about to open the door came back and sat down. I looked at the king who was looking at James with arched eyebrows as if he doesn't know what his second right-hand man was talking about.

"And what would be that," Alpha Benson asked him looking tired out of his mind. This meeting took forever I tell you yet it was important.

"My king forgot to invite you all for his mating ceremony. The lavender" we all gasped upon hearing what the man had said. I looked at Dean as I caught him rolling his eyes at what James had said. My heart started running fast in my chest not so loving the news I was hearing.

"What, our king is finally ready to choose a mate" Alpha Allison gasped with a big smile planted on her lips in happiness.

"Yes, my dear alphas. Our king is ready so..." James had a big grin as he looked at the king for a split second before adding "gather all the unmated omegas from your packs, maybe our king will be lucky and choose from one of your packs, after all, the more the merrier" James said the last part looking at Dean who seemed not to be happy by what the the man was saying.

More so he looked bored out of his mind.

"We're going to make sure of it your majesty, we wish you luck," Alpha Gandi said as we bowed our heads in respect.

"Thank you my alphas," he stood up looking straight into my eyes as if he was talking to me or something "you will be surprised at the person I will choose" he walked away after actually winking at me. Am I hallucinating? Or his eye moved on its own. Did King Dean Meeton wink at me, the sexiest wink I have ever seen in my life?

What does that mean?

I was still in shock. I saw it, he winked at me.

"It's in one month, you're all invited to witness our king choosing his better half" with that James walked off following the king but I was still in a daze. So he is finally going to choose a mate but he is flirting with me, of course, if that's flirting. I might be thinking too much about this but I know what I saw. First, he calls me cute two times, then wink at me, and then I call him beautiful. What does that mean?

We flirt with each other and we don't talk about it. Why does it hurt that he was finally going to choose his omega mate like it was supposed to? Why did I get my hopes up, I feel really hurt.

"Hey, are you ok" I took a deep breath when Glenn asked. I nodded slowly but that painful arch was still killing me and I don't understand why. It's just a wink and a word, it shouldn't be bothering me but it is. He pumps up my heart and then crushes it. Why do I feel like this, why do I feel like something has just broken within me? I feel rejected. "Let's go home then"

"Go, I will catch up with you" I handed him the files.

"Ok, but make sure to hurry up, we have training early in the morning and we have to go see the farmers," he says looking at me worried. I nodded smiling at him. We walked out together as he hoped on his motorcycle and I hoped on mine too driving off to the only place that I know will take all this pent-up pain that I am feeling out of my body.
