I roll my eyes when I pass by the people from my pack who were busy backbiting my mate. News travels so fast in this city but what do you expect when Parsons was there to witness everything? He had told all the people how our king isn't like us, to be precise, the king is abnormal and his hiding something from us. How he had white eyes, he started calling him names which I didn't appreciate so much but kept quiet because I have my own problems to deal with than to deal with my stupid Father so I just shrugged it off focusing on one task and that is to get my mate to forgive me.

I haven't slept in four days, my eyes were red and filled with dark circles under them. I'm like a walking zombie the way I look. I never thought, opening my mouth and spurring stupid things are going to lead to silent treatment from my mate. I have called a thousand times, I went to the castle but he just ignores me like I was nothing which hurts so bad.

I tried talking to him so that I could explain and I even tried writing messages despite not being so perfect, I tried because I need my mate's forgiveness but he refused to hear me out, he just walked by me without saying anything. I don't even know what to do. I regret what I did, I shouldn't have said anything that day, and now he was mad at me and I don't know how to make him forgive me.

I don't want Dean to think the worst of me yet it was too late, he already thinks the worst but do I blame him no, I betrayed him, he trusted me and now I broke that trust. He was heartbroken, whenever I think about it it makes my heart pain uncontrollably, and thinking that I'm the cause makes me wanna punch myself in the face so hard that I can taste my own blood. I take a deep sigh when David called me taking me out of my misery thoughts.

I didn't even know I had reached my office. I almost laughed out loud.

"Kol..." I look up gazing at David who was looking at me with an expression I couldn't get. He breathed in taking a glimpse of the room, making sure to avoid my gaze. He looked to be nervous, that's the way he was since that day I betrayed my mate. "I know you were helping Father out" he gazed at me again "But but..." he trailed off twisting a pen around his fingers.

"But what," I ask, since that day I have noticed how he was looking at me. Like he wants to tell me something but gets scared and lets it go.

"Um... Never mind" he goes back to the papers ignoring me.

"David, you can tell me anything, I'm your brother, if something is bothering you please voice it out. No matter how bad it is," I assured wanting him to say it. David closed his eyes softly contemplating himself.

"Don't get on the bad side of the king please" I was confused, what is he saying? I thought that's what they wanted. I was about to ask when he opened his mouth again. "Me and Glenn can help Father out because we are used to it and we already sacrificed so much, so please don't involve yourself in this. Keep up the attitude it suits you better" I was in shock, what was he saying? I'm really confused.

"You don't want me to help Father out," I asked to be sure. David is the number one fan or follower of Father, and hearing him say those words got me in shock. David bit his lips taking a big breath as he looked at the door.

"In the end, it won't be worthy" That's all he said and went back to work ignoring me completely. I continued thinking about it trying to understand what he meant by those words but my mind came out blank. I was about to pry more when my phone went off. I pulled it out seeing that it was Henry the human who takes care of Dean's son. We exchanged numbers the last time I went there looking for Dean and I told him to call me if Dean shows up.

I picked up quickly standing up in the process "Hello" 

"Hello, he is here and he doesn't look very well," he said in a calm voice.
