I watched as he chose ten omegas who had to stay at the castle until he chooses the lucky one. The alphas started shamelessly interacting with the ones who he didn't pick as if they don't already have there mates back at home. I felt disgusted by them seeing how creepy this was but what can I say, those are the few privileges that a dominant had other than other ranks tho that was the least of my worries or problem right this fucking second.

My mind was going a wire, pacing around making my head hurt a little trying to focus on what was going on but I can't focus on anything right now when Dean Meeton, the king of werewolves, a tough scary man who managed to kill my mother at such a young age, had told me something I wasn't supposed to know or hear.

The man was a mystery, yes, but I didn't expect to hear that at all.

When he told me, at first I thought he was lying or bluffing but the serious look in his eyes said otherwise. The question was, why did he tell me something like that? So if he has an heir, he might have a mate already right... So what was the meaning of this party? What was he planning? Why didn't he introduce his heir to the people and why hasn't he talked or said anything to his people?

I had many questions and the only person who can answer them was Dean and only him.

I was about to ask a bunch of them when we were still in that room but after dropping the boom, without waiting for any questions or me getting out of my head he just turned around without looking back and moved out of the room leaving me stunned and confused at the same time.

It took me more than thirty minutes to come back to my senses, and when I finally came back, he had already left. I decided to follow him but found him already choosing his potential omegas. it took me more than ten minutes to gather my thoughts. I waited patiently for the party to end so that I can talk to him, and ask questions but did I get a chance to talk to him, no, why because I didn't get him at the right moment.

I found myself on my motorcycle driving back to my pack with so many things on my mind and if you ask me if I had a wink of sleep that night, I would be lying.

How can I sleep when I have the darkest secret of Dean Meeton. I couldn't.

I wanted to go back to the castle the next days and ask him in person but I had too much work to deal with since I was still the warrior and alpha duties also made me busy even tho I had to sit there and watch David do it, it was still exhausting as fuck. I had to help out Millan to train and show him other tactics. I wanted to call Dean so bad coz he was on my mind every damn second but I thought it was inappropriate to talk on the phone, what if someone hears us and I have a feeling that no one knows about what he told me?

I spent days without meeting with the king until he scheduled a meeting wanting to meet all the alphas which I was happily looking forward going to. I am always excited to see him, the way my heart flattered, the way my stomach filled with butterflies as if I have eaten auts amazed me to no end. I really needed a doctor to check me out coz this has gotten too far.

Only his voice sends shivers all over my body, his brown dark eyes, and when I remember the way he looked at me that day with those dark pupils made my body tremble. His sharp jaw, his long lashes, his strong arms and don't start telling me about his lips. Oh, gods, they are to die for. I licked my dry lips...

"Aren't you going to answer that" I blinked rapidly getting out of my thoughts?

"What?" I asked confused, not getting what David was talking about.

"Your phone is vibrating" he rolled his eyes. I instantly looked down to see that it was true. "It's making me dizzy and I'm doing numbers but since you don't understand any of it, you can't know how difficult it is" I looked at him shaking my head while clutching my jaw hard at his snarky comment.
