Lost Love

Chapter 12

I ran after Leah. She was getting into her car to go home. I couldn't lose her. Now I knew what Lucy is like, I couldn't let Lucy win.

"Leah."

She stopped in her tracks, instantly getting out the car.

"I talked to Lucy. I'm sorry I didn't believe you. I know she doesn't want us happy together. But that's all I want. I need you back in my life."

Leah ran and hugged me. I've missed her soft touch, the way she caresses the back of my head in a hug.

"That's all I wanted to hear Holl. We can take things at your pace, start again slowly. As long as I end up with you, I don't care what speed we go at. I love you."

"I love you too Leah. Why don't you stay tonight?"

Leah started crying once these words left my lips.

"Really Holl? You want that?"

I looked into her deep blue eyes, getting completely lost in them.

"Yes I do. Now come inside, it's cold out."

We walked into the apartment, hand in hand. I am just happy to have Leah back. I missed her more than I imagined. Beth looked at us and smiled.

"Please telling me I'm right in what i'm thinking."
She said, with a smile spreading across her face. Leah looked at me to answer.

"Yes Beth. You are correct."

"I'm so happy for you both!"
She pulled us in for a massive hug, as Chloe walked through the door.

"Oh your back."
Chloe said, in a pissed off way.

"What's wrong Chloe? Aren't you happy for Holly and Leah?"
Beth looked confused. We all were confused.

"Leah you hurt Holly once. If you dare do anything of the kind again, even hurt her, i'm making sure you don't do it again. You didn't see how much you hurt her but we did. So treat her right this time."

Leah walked over to Chloe. I was scared for could happen.

"I won't Chloe. I really won't this time."

Me and Leah went up to our room. We just sat and cuddled the whole time. A word was not spoken for over an hour.

"Here Holl? Do you want to talk to me how you felt before you attempted? I don't want you to keep it inside."

I looked a Leah, remembering all the hurtful memories and tears start to form.

"I just felt worthless, I didn't want to be in the pain I was in so I thought why can't I take it away for good? I thought nobody would've cared. But now I know that it is a lie."

Leah cradled me in her arms, slowly rocking me.

"I'm here for you Holl. I'm not leaving you, you've got me to talk to about everything and anything. You know that?"

"I do. Thank you Leah."

We turned and watched Friends. It makes me feel the most safe, and when Leah is with me, I feel untouchable. No one could hurt me now.

"You know England call ups are next week? I think you've got a good chance."
She said, while winking at me.

Leah is captain currently, so her and Sarina would talk about the squad. I know she just wanted to make me feel better. As soon as she said this, I got a call from an unknown number.

"Answer it Hol!"

I walked out of the room to take the call. I was scared.

"Hi is this Holly?"

"Yes it is."

"Good, It's Sarina.  I just wanted to ask you a question before the call ups next week. I heard that you were in hospital. Would you be fit enough for camp?"

"I was in hospital for my mental health, it was nothing physical. I'm doing a lot better so I think I would do well at camp."

"Okay that's great. Well we have psychologists on camp too so if you need to speak to them about your well being that can also be arranged. I'll take your answer into consideration. Thanks Holly. Goodbye."

I walked back into the room, where Leah was under the duvet, looking adorable.

"Who was that?"
Leah was smiling.

"It was Sarina. She wanted to know if I was well enough for camp. She said she'd take me answers into consideration."

"See Holl, that's amazing. You could soon be getting your England call up."

I got back into bed beside Leah. Everything seemed right. This was my happy place. This is where I needed to be. With Leah. Everything is working out for the better, this is what I needed.
