Back door left open
The smell of a summer morning
The sound of birds greeting the day
Clucking of chickens
Joyful quacking of ducks
The song of a dove
Sat on the deck swing
Warm tea is hand
Wrapped in a light blanket
The purr of my cat as he snuggles into my lap
The quiet snores of my dog sleeping at my feet
My lover walks through the door way
Bundled in a thick blanket
I laugh lightly at there bed head, going every which way but the way it's supposed to
They patter over to me
Gently sitting beside me on the porch swing
Laying there head on my shoulder
I leave a light kiss on there head
Breathing in the gentle smell of them
Our third half comes next
In a sweater too big and almost reaching there knees
I give them a smile
They join us, carefully stepping over the dog and snuggling up to the other side of me
Warmth envelopes me on all sides
My heart feels light with love
With both my lovers here with me
All of us completing each other
I wake
It's just a dream
