To be able to read the words of a man that lived so long ago
Makes me feel something I can barely explain with words
The fact that I am reading the thoughts of a man that lived from 106 BC-43 BC is surreal
To mark something so great that people all through time get to look back and read your work
I don't think he ever thought his work would be something people studies in school
A part of me wishes I could tell him
"Look! You are remembered! People all through time read your books and resonate with what you wrote!"
That's the highest point of respect
To be remembered for something great
