Viserra's POV :
(Not edited)

As i walked out of the birthing chamber my pace quickened. I wanted to leave. Tears brimmed in my eyes. I now I was probably over reacting. I didn't cry a lot as a child and even now I almost never cried. So I'm so confused to why Alicent's words pained me so much.

"Viserra!" I heard Daemon call out or me.

I didn't want him to see me like this. In my vulnerable state of me crying. So I just carried on walking getting faster and faster until I was practically running down the corridors.

I showed my pace down as I approached my chambers.
I opened my door. Only for it to be slammed shut by another hand.

It was Daemon.

"Viserra. Why did you run away from me?" He questioned me before shifting his gaze to my face. I noticed his eyes widen at my puffy red face.

He then opened my door and walked into my room grabbing my hand and dragging me in behind him.

He then turned to face me.

Daemon slowly lifted my hand up to his face and kissed my knuckles gently.

"What's wrong sweet sister."

I didn't reply I just simply leaned into him and hugged his shoulders bringing my head into the crook off his neck. Daemon quickly hugged me back letting his hands hug around my waist.

We both stayed like this in comfortable silence for a few minutes. It felt so unreal and calming to be hugging Daemon and I even found a sense of happiness in him coming after me. I was glad he carried.

I pulled away from him dropping my hand down to my side but his hands stayed on my waist.

I met his gaze once more. His eyes looked saddened by my crying state.

"I'm a failure." Was all I told him.

"How" he replied with.

"Allicent is right I haven't even married yet. People my age should already have at least a few kin." I muttered.

"That's not true." Daemon replied. "Your not a failure to me." He whispered.

I remained staring into his eyes.

Daemons POV :

I moved my gaze from Viserra's eyes to her lips then met her gaze again.

I don't think she realised how perfect she was to me. I think she was even oblivious to my feelings slowly growing for her.

Just as i was about to speak again the doors to her room flung open.

And in came Viserys.

He walked over to us. I pulled Viserra to my side whilst she leant her head into my chest.

"What is going on with you both?" Viserys questioned us both in a bitter tone.

"I don't know what you mean brother" i replied.

"What do you mean it's very clear that-" i cut Viserys off. I knew My sister wouldn't want to talk to him in this state or for him to see her.

"Viserra is tired let's take this conversation elsewhere while she rests."

"Alright. I want to speak to you now Daemon." He walked out waiting outside for me.

I quickly pulled my sister to face me and wiped the falling tears of her cheeks with my thumb before kissing her forehead.

"Go rest. I'll come by later" i said.

She just nodded before she went deeper into her chambers.

I exited her room. Preparing to speak to Viserys. I know what he meant by his remarks before. It's time to add more flames or the burning fire.
