Your spouse was a fatui diplomat, so due to his filled schedule, you barely had to chance to see him. It was shameful; how many hours you spend outside the Fatui Headquarters waiting for him to come out so you could go back home.

One day was particularly. . . different, to say the least. The day was way colder than usual; it was freezing cold, so cold that not even the tons of layers of clothes you wore didn't manage to warm you up—yet, here you were. You stood there, waiting patiently for your lover, who you deep inside knew you never loved to begin with.

Before you knew it, everything went dark, did you get kidnapped? Did you die? You honestly didn't care. You always felt so pathetic anyways. You did nothing all day but wait for your spouse, and then have dinner with them. You slept on separate beds, too. Both of you despised eachother, you were married for the sake of your family.

You woke up in a room — it seemed dark, the only light was a small flickering light bulb. You couldn't speak; not because something was blocking your mouth, but as you felt as if it was frozen from the cold. This room was slightly warmer than outdoors, though.
