"He obviously likes you. He asked you to be his plus one." Charlotte was standing behind me, zipping up my dress.
"And we could go on so many dates together, it would be so much fun" Isa yelled from the bathroom.
I was getting ready with them for the party. They were obviously excited about Lando asking me to be his date, even though I rejected. They didn't know I was dating Max.
I didn't hear him all day, except for the interview but that was a professional conversation so I didn't even know if he knew I was going to be there.

"You look amazing, he will fall in love with you even more" Charlotte looked at me laughing. I knew she was joking but I actually wanted him to fall in love with me even more. I wasn't talking about Lando though, I was talking about Max.

Daniel rented a club for the drivers, teams and girlfriends. I was actually feeling really excited about it as I walked in the club with Charlotte and Isa. I looked around, there were so many people already. "Shots?" Charlotte pulled the both of us to the bar and ordered a couple of shots straight away. I could feel that something was wrong with her. She's been acting weird all day.
"To the start of the season and your new job" Charlotte said and we put our glasses together.
Not long after we finished a couple of shots already.

"I can see you're enjoying yourself." Lando walked up behind me and put his arm around my waist, giving me a kiss on my cheek. "Hi Lando, yes we actually are. Did you just arrive?" Charlotte and Isa looked at each other and left us alone. "Yes I arrived with Max, I actually only came because of you" I took a step back so he wasn't holding my waist anymore. If Max saw that he would be pretty mad.
I smiled at him, I didn't really know what to reply. Before I could answer I felt a arm around my shoulder. "So what's going on here?" It was Max, he looked at Lando. "Nothing much, we are just having a conversation." Lando shrugged his shoulders. I felt so awkward. Max pulled me a little closer to him. "Can I borrow her for a minute mate?" Lando looked at me and I nodded. He looked a bit disappointed as he walked away.

"What was that about?" I said as Max took his arm back and stood in front of me. "I could ask you the same thing, whispering with Lando, him putting his arm on your waist.." he really was jealous and it was actually kind of cute.
"I think he likes me a little, but don't worry baby, I like you" I brushed my hand softly over his. I wanted to reassure him that I only liked him.
"We should tell him that you're off limits" he brushed his hand softly over my arm. Even those little touches made me feel weak.
"No Max, Lando can't keep his mouth shut." I started shaking my head. If Lando knew than we he would obviously tell Carlos and he would tell Charles. "Then tell him you like someone or whatever but you can't play games with him." I nodded. I wanted this conversation to be over as soon as possible. "I should go back to the girls, they're probably waiting" I kissed his cheek softly and walked away, looking for Charlotte and Isa.

I knew I should tell Lando but I've had this weird feeling when I talked to him.
I actually started to like his attention.
