I felt like shit. It was race day so I had to see Max, I even had to interview him. I haven't heard from him since we broke up which is fair because I probably broke his heart.

I walked up to the media center, Olivia was talking to Charles. They were standing very close to each other, both were smiling as they were talking. I walked passed them and nodded. Charles immediately took a step back when he saw me. He probably didn't want me to tell Charlotte but I had my own problems right now.

Olivia walked up to me as I sat down in the media center. "It's not what you think" I looked up at her and shrugged my shoulder. "Then what is it?" Charles was doing to Charlotte what I did to Max. I actually had no right to be mad at either of them.
"We just really like each other, we went on a couple of dates together." I just nodded. She knew he had a girlfriend right? It's like she could read my mind because she answered the question right away. "He will break up with his girlfriend after the race" I sighed, atleast Charlotte and I could cry together tonight.

I admired Max for a lot of things, but one thing was definitely that his heart was broken but he didn't show it when he was racing. He was a different guy when he was on track. He won the race. I was happy for him, he seemed happy. Maybe he wasn't that heartbroken after all.

Daniel walked up to me in the media pen. He nodded and waited for me to start the interview.
Something was bothering him, but I didn't know if it was because he had to retire from the race or because Max told him what happened.
He wanted to walk away after the interview but I stopped him. I leaned over the railing and whispered to him. "How is Max doing?" He looked at me, shrugging his shoulders. "Look I know it's possible to fall out of love with someone but Max is my friend, if you want to know how he is, you should ask him yourself" I looked at the railing. He was right but how could I ask him how he was doing after what happened. "He probably doesn't want to talk to me" I looked up at him but he just nodded. "And he has a good reason for it." he turned around and walked away.
He was right. I was selfish for thinking he would still be fine with me.

The other papaya boy was standing in front of me smiling. He was always sarcastic when you asked him about his car. I knew he wanted to dodge these questions. I thanked him and expected him to walk away but he moved closer to me, putting his hands on the railing. "You look cute" he whispered in my ear and I giggled softly. I never giggled this much when I was with Max.
Lando winked quickly before turning around and walking away.

My smile quickly disappeared when I saw Max standing in front of me. He looked at Lando and then back at me. He probably figured out that I started to like Lando but he didn't say anything about it.
He was very professional during the interview. He answered the questions with a smile, a fake smile.
I recognized the difference between his real and fake smile. I didn't even had the time to thank him because he was already walking away.

"He seems like he's in a bad mood even though he won the race." Olivia was standing next to me. I just looked at her and nodded.
If only she knew he wasn't in a bad mood because of the race. The real reason was standing next to her.
