Peter webbed as fast as he could over the city. He was trying to get to the nearest subway swinging frantically almost hitting a few buildings he wasn't watching where he was going in his panic. Peter almost let go of his web when his phone startled ringing in his pocket startling him.
Peter wasn't going to answer it until he heard the familiar ringtone that Wade had set on his phone. Peter didn't know why he insisted it had to be Ashes by Cèline Dion. Peter answered it he had left Wade to deal with the rest of the hostages while he left.
Peter felt guilt build up in him at leaving without saying anything. He didn't have that time for that though. Peter answered the call he held his phone with one hand as he hurriedly continued swinging from one web to the next. "Hello?" Peter asked.
"Oh, my God Peter thank fuck you answered. I had no idea where you were. You just left suddenly like my dad did or was that my mom-" Wade said his ranting was cut short by Peter.
"Listen Wade Harry has a bomb under the subway station. It's going to explode in a hour I have to find it and stop it." Peter said he he cringed when Wade gasped loudly and dramatically.
"Oh my it's so cliche the author couldn't think of anything better than a bomb under a subway? I can write better fanfiction when I'm half dead. And just so you know all the hostages are a okay and only one screamed when I tried to help them out of the building." Wade said he went silent as he waited for Peter's answer.
"Wade I really appreciate you taking care of that for me. I really do." Peter said his tone was fond he smiled slightly as he heard Wade scream about how he was getting praised by Spiderman.
"No problamo Webs anything for you. I'm going to get some help to stop this whole kaboom thing." Wade said he hanged up the line went silent on the other end. Peter sighed he put his phone in his pocket. He slowed down a bit as he landed outside a subway station.
People screamed running away from the "public menace" or they cheered waving at him. Peter ignored them all as he raced down towards the subway tracks. Peter jumped over the turnstile easily having had practice from being a poor college kid or teenager for years.
"Now time to place a few calls to Spidey Jr. and Irondick." Wade said he held his phone up to his ear as he walked down the streets of New York trying to convince Tony Stark that he should help him.
"What's going on?" Steve asked confused as he walked up behind a angry Tony who who was cussing some poor soul out on the phone. Steve put a hand on Tony's shoulder to calm him down. Tony smiled at him slightly he let out a long sigh before putting his head against Steve's shoulder and agreeing to something and hanging up.
"Man I hate that guy. Don't know what Peter sees in that murder." Tony growled he let Steve wrap his arms around him.
"What did Deadpool want?" Steve asked confused. Wade was listed in Peter's emergency contacts in case something happened to Peter even if Tony didn't like it.
"What I got out of it in-between his random babbling was that a new version of the Green Goblin put a bomb under New York's subway systems somewhere." Tony said he sounded tired and irritated at the same time.
"You don't sound that concerned." Steve said amused.
"Steve we have fought a purple alien from space and a evil ai hellbent on destroying all of humanity this is child's play compared to that." Tony said he pulled away from Steve to go get his suit on. "Dang kids always getting into trouble. Especially, Spiderling." Tony muttered to himself.
Peter had been searching for the past fourteen minutes searching subway station after subway station. He still wasn't having no luck he had even looked up bombs in New York subways to see if any recent headlines had popped up alluding to where the bombs location might be.
New York while big it had to be impossible to hide a bomb without someone noticing: right? Then again it was also New York where everyone minded their own business and would step around you like you were a rock in the sea and they were a river.
"Hey, Underoos have you found it yet? Ya know for once I want to go home instead of flying around New York looking for crazy guys in weird looking costumes." Tony said he landed right next to Peter who was startled he had been muttering to himself listing off all the places he had already checked.
"Jeez Mr.Stark don't scare me like that." Peter said he held his hand over this chest he felt his hear thumping wildly. Then Peter's spider sense went off he looked around but he couldn't see anyone.
"You are defiantly scared that is for sure." Another voice said confused Peter looked up at the Subways ceiling. Miles appeared he jumped down landing next to Peter and Tony no longer camouflaged.
"Yeah yeah we have a bomb to find otherwise New York goes kaboom like Wades burritos when he puts them to long in the microwave." Peter said he debriefed them on all the locations that he had checked and ones he had yet to check.
"I take offense to that baby boy seeing as how that only happened once." Wade said he sauntered up with a chimichanga in his hand acting one half of New York wasn't at risk of being blown up.
"Baby boy?" Miles asked raising a eyebrow at Peter. Peter coughed he sent Wade glare and he just grinned back making Peter groan.
"Yes, your mentor kid is my sexy boyfriend with a great-" Wade began he was instantly cut off by Peter.
"Don't you dare finish that sentence." Peter warned he felt his face flush he knew what Wade had been about to say.
"Ass." Wade finished he winked at Peter.
"Let's focus on the plan please!" Peter said annoyed he shoved Miles away he was teasing Peter about his boyfriend and nudging him in the ribs.
