"Mila, can you not hang out with her?" Dinah asked as Camila prepares to go and meet her friend at their usual spot and usual time.
"No that will be rude." Camila shook her head and slipped on her sneakers quickly before looking at her reflection to put on some quick makeup and fixing her hair.
"She's trouble and I don't want you to be influenced by her actions." Dinah stated, still trying to convince Camila to ditch the meet up.
"Dinah please." Camila rolled her eyes at Dinah and grabbed her phone to put in her back pocket then grabbed the keys to her apartment and car before making her way out of the door.
"Mila!" Dinah called out before Camila shuts the door completely behind her.
"No Dinah. Deal with it." Camila told Dinah before shutting the door securely and making her way to their usual spot.
Camila left the building and made her way swiftly to her parked car in front of the curb. Camila opened the car and started the engine, firing it quickly before she put the car in gear and drove to the café that they have always used as a meeting spot.
Camila is now in her last year in college and well on her way to becoming one successful artist one day. The dreams that she had been dreaming of since she was just a little girl, is now becoming more real and close for her to grab.
Once reaching her destination, she parked at the front of the café and hopped out of the car quickly, before entering the familiar surroundings to find the usual spot that they always sit on occupied with the one and only, Lauren Jauregui, Camila's close friend.
Ever since Camila met Lauren, Dinah have always been disapproving their currently building friendship. You see Lauren Jauregui is well known for her troublesome acts in college, the punk rock chick is filled with tattoos, piercings and has a bad habit of destroying her lungs. Lauren have been the one throwing massive parties around the college premises without permission, blaring out music in the middle of the night whilst everyone tried to do their work.
This girl barely cares for anything at all, except for Camila and her time with the completely opposite girl. Since the start of the year, Lauren has been in her most behavioural state in her class with Camila.
"Hey." Camila greeted with a big smile and sat across Lauren. "I'm sorry I'm a little late." She added, meeting Lauren's eyes instantly.
"No, no. It's okay." Lauren chuckled and continued on staring at Camila.
"What?" Camila asked once she noticed that Lauren has been staring for quite some time now.
"Huh?"
"You're staring." Camila kinked an eyebrow up at Lauren. "Again." She added.
"No I'm not." Lauren scoffed and quickly looked down on her hands that are placed on the table.
"Hmm... okay..." Camila trailed off.
"What would you like?" Lauren changed the subject immediately, grabbing the menu from the side to browse through quickly.
Camila giggled a little and nodded her head before grabbing the other menu from the side to have a browse through herself.
Then silence fell between the two of them, the type where no one needs to say a word and it's just really comfortable between the two of them.
"Okay, you know what?" Camila sighed and placed the menu back down on the table.
The other girl quickly looked back up with a shocked and confused expression written on her face.
"Okay?" Lauren half asked, half stated.
"I'm just gonna have whatever you're having." Camila shook her head and met Lauren's eyes once more. "And after this, you're coming with me to my apartment and Dinah will just have to get to know you better and stop being such an ass about everything. She just has to deal with this friendship thing or whatever it is you want to call this right now and get over herself. You're my friend and she's my friend and you two just has to get along with one another." Camila rambled on.
Before Camila could say another word, Lauren grabbed hold of Camila's hand and tried to stop the younger girl who sat across her.
"Camz." Lauren breathed.
"I'm rambling aren't I?" Camila asked.
Lauren nodded her head and a small smile creeped up on the corner of her mouth.
"Okay what now?" Camila asked once again.
"What?"
"You're doing that staring thing again."
"No I'm not."
"Yes you are."
"No I'm not."
"Lauren."
"Camz."
The two of them stared at each other, looking deeply in each other's eyes. Lauren who is starting to get lost, once again in Camila's chocolate orbs and Camila being mesmerised and swept off her feet whilst staring in the see of emerald eyes that are staring back at her.
"Great. A staring game." Camila chuckled, breaking her eye contact with Lauren and quickly looking down to realise that they are still holding each other's hand on the table.
"Say it Lauren, I'm not a mind reader." Camila raised an eyebrow when Lauren still didn't respond.
"I'm not thinking about anything." Lauren scoffed and took off her hand from Camila's. She then leaned back on the seat, fiddling with her lighter in her hand.
"Bullshit." Camila rolled her eyes. "Just say it Jauregui, we don't have all day."
"I need a smoke." Lauren pushed her chair back and got up to walk outside the café.
"We'll take a table outside then." Camila followed her lead and walked out of the café too.
"If that's what you want." Lauren continued on walking until they finally located a vacant table outside the café.
Lauren took out her cigarette pack and put one of the sticks in between her teeth and lighted it up quickly, inhaling deeply before letting out the puff of smoke.
"I'm sorry." Lauren laughed and tried to fan away the smoke from Camila.
"We've been friends for a long time now, I'm quite sure that you know that I'm used to the smell of that thing." Camila gestured to the lit up cigarette in between Lauren's fingers.
"I know but it's bad for you." Lauren inhaled deeply once more and letting the smoke out, this time aiming away from Camila's direction.
"You say it like it's not destroying your own lungs." Camila laughed.
"What? I just wanna look out for you that's all." Lauren chuckled.
"No but what is the deal with you and that thing anyway?" Camila nodded in the direction of the cigarette. "Why that thing?"
"It clears my mind, it calms my nerves." Lauren explained simply.
"Out of everything that you can rely on, you pick that?" Camila asked.
"Well that's me."
"Question though..." Camila trailed off.
"Hmm?"
"Why did you choose me?" Camila asked.
"What do you mean?" Lauren asked confused.
"Why be this close and different when it comes to me when there are a lot more people out there who you could instantly click with?" Camila elaborated.
Lauren looked at her deeply in her eyes. She then takes in another lungful of air before realising the smoke freely in the open air.
"Because I want to make you mine forever." Lauren stated simply, her face is unreadable.
Camila stared at her with the same expression.
"I'm in love with you Camila and I want to be yours forever."
