"Where there is light, there's always a shadow."
2040
When Mishti was staring at Kunal's tree, not only she realised she missed him, she knew she wanted to be with him. She was tired of chasing villains her whole life. She knew, a day would come where she'd have to sacrifice herself for her daughter, and her family. Her instincts were screaming that it might happen sooner.
All the vastness of mafia would be under Aryan's control or Abir's, since he has his own private army. That would be until her son grows up. He was just 17 now. The vile, cruel truths that she was protecting her whole family from, would be in light someday. And she hoped she'd live till that day. And she also knew, that might not be a luxury she could afford.
That is why, she had decided to let Aisha know all the information she had, in the form of riddles, as she trusted none. Not even herself for that matter.
Because she was once Shadow too.

Mahira's POV
"Are you alright Mahira? You seem tired." Abir remarks again looking at my face. I was having a jet lag. They flew from Istanbul till here in a day. How else would I be? I have fucking flying sickness for God's sake! I don't know how in the world I ended up here. I wanted to kill him and his son both. But the mystery stops me every single time I want to draw a knife through their hearts.
"She is, dad. Don't you see her eyes, plotting to kill us right in this moment?" Adyant chuckles sipping bourbon.
"Sure. Shall I explain how I plan to do so? You, by burning your each body part slowly. And you, I'll offer a quick death because you are already suffering for being Mishti Rajvansh's son." I say smirking as his smile wears off."Adyant, patience. We need to treat our guest with respect until she gives us what we want." Abir reminds him like I'm not there at all. How will I be a use to them?
"What do you want from me! You have all the resources. Your son, the real blood. The sword which is the key for that god damned old city and mainly you, the Abir Rajvansh to guide him." I scoff.
"Did you just compliment me?" Abir laughs."Sorry I take it back." I smile.
"Nope! Once said, words cannot be taken back. You just called me 'the'. I like you." He chuckles and relaxes.
"What about you grumpy little cat? Didn't take much on your father I suppose?" I provoke Adyant.
"No. I'm more like my mum so talk any more and I'll cut your throat. You're not important like my dad sings. He's a liar." Adyant says."Well that's a first." I chuckle.
"For?" He squints his eyes.
"Truth." I smile rigidly as he rolls his eyes.
"10 year olds are better than you." He scoffs.
"Good then. Go play catch with them." I say.
"A better idea than being stuck with a talking walking parrot." He grumbles."Why are we waiting here?" I ask Abir losing all my calm. This fellow is unbearable. No wonder his mother left him.
"Bulgaria. The place where my father sold and bought drugs." He says.
"So we're here to do cocaine?" I question as Adyant, for the first time, chuckles and shakes his head.
"No madam. We're here to find his supplier. We in the sense, you." Abir points at me.
