"An idea is like a virus. It can either create or destroy you."

2052

Location: Outskirts of Bonanza.

Abir's POV

I stare at the plan laid infront of me. And the person. Least to say I'm disgusted by her but I need to lure her into this trap, so that I can destroy that wretched place once and for all. Mishti had her ideas and theories about Bonanza. And I knew it once I had gotten hold of the Blue File back then. And she died, protecting her father's truth. I wonder how Aisha and Adyant got the intel without any resource.

"And we will engage them. Because we know they'll come to save her." Marina smirks, pointing out the front gates of the city. I chuckle and scoff.
"Is there a problem?" She raises an eyebrow.
"Ofcourse. You think they're democratic to attack from front lines? Guard the entire boundary of the city. They can even fly out of nowhere and land on us." I say, looking at the map.
"Sure. But you need to retrieve the Ronin sword as soon as they arrive." She reminds.

"Alright. Let me talk to the prisoner." I smile and she squints her eyes at me. Marina is one hard woman to gain trust from.
"You don't have any business with her." She voices out, clearly suspecting my intentions.
"Well, I do now. I need to know what else we're missing. Clearly, sword is not the only object." I argue, stuffing my hands into the pockets. She sighs and nods her head, not really wanting me to go in there.
"Have a debrief with the soldiers later. They need their commando." Marina smirks, and my grip on the door handle tightens.

"I'm not their commando. Black Force is and will be yours." I knew that the bitch was cracking a smile when I left.

Mahira's POV

Struggling hard to remove myself from the cuffs, I sit back down, groaning. My thumb is not cracking. If it had, I would have escaped ages ago from this hellhole. It's been more than 5 days, I can realise that. But it's difficult to keep a count when you're in a dungeon with no window and the only source of light is a fucking fire outside the cell. As I hear footsteps, I quickly resort to sprawl on the floor, acting as if I was sleeping.

"I know you're not napping." Here comes the asshole.
"Ah! Took you long enough." I comment, hissing when I get up suddenly.
"We meet again, Mahira." Abir smiles, leaning down.
"Unfortunately." I don't give him sentences. He doesn't deserve that.
"Are you going to be a brat or do you want to escape?" He asks boringly. I scoff.
"Yeah sure." It irritates him. I can see it.

"You've been here for 2 weeks now. Adyant is going crazy. He's killing all of my men, indirectly, in the name of a cleanup operation. Please just go back to him so that I can finish my work in peace." He explains casually. But his son's name and his deeds does something to me, though I don't show him. He killed people for me? What is he, a kid! Why does he have to put himself in risk and expose rest of them? Lord save that dude!
"Work? You call bombing an entire city, work?" I chuckle.

"It is, for me." Abir shrugs, sitting down, outside the cell.
"Why would you want me to go back? Won't it jeopardise your partner's interests?" He looks at me, annoyed.
"Please. That wench can never be my partner. I just want to kill her with my own hands when we finally set foot on the lands of Bonanza. I'm just leading her into the trap." Abir replies.
"Oh! Double crossing huh? It's not the first time anyways." This makes him smile.
"Ofcourse. I learnt this from my great wife. Discreetness." He sighs.
