"Being evil doesn't scare so much, as being a failure does."
London
Adyant's POV
"What about the shipping to Thailand?" I ask the old man again as he grips the chair harder and takes a deep breath to concentrate.
"I don't have all day Dimitri." I try to sound as irritated as I am.
"Sir, there's something missing." He says, confusion clearly laced in his voice.
"What is it?" I peer at the files when Rob enters the hall panting."There's something you have to see." The words raises my annoyance.
"God must really hate me, if he exists." I mutter and take a leave of the paperwork. Walking behind Rob, I send a quick message to Mahira. Instantly, I regret it as I looked at what Rob wanted me to see. It was Ivan's fingers. In a box. Along with a letter.
"Already need my assis-"Mahira didn't complete her sentence as she glances at what was infront of her. Paralysed, she stands still. I bend down and take the piece of paper in my hand.
"Nothing could ever save your mother. And nothing will ever save you. Because Alfonso's are still alive. See you soon, Prince."
I crumble the paper and throw it away, in anger. Why won't my dad's dad, even after death, does not stop haunting us! And what does it have to do with Ivan! The information that he had on the sword was enough to make him a target. But why now?
"Allot extra patrol shifts. No Black Force should sleep from tonight." I order and move back in without sparing a glance at Mahira or the fingers again. It was nauseating enough.
"Sad that he died soon." I halt as my sister's voice reaches my ears.
"Guess you have something to do with it." I reply as Aisha just chuckles."You have enough enemies outside these walls. What makes you think I give a shit about some mad Russian? I have the chance to directly get to your head." The smirk on my sister's face spikes my frustration. How could something this serious slip my head!
"But this is defenitely an inside job." She reads the place and comments.
"Well, the time of delivery, and the style screams so." I shrug and dig my hands into my pockets."About the sword, I need details." I turn towards her swiftly.
"Excuse me?" My question makes her look at her more intently.
"I'm not here to play by your rules Youxia. If you want my cooperation, then you need to give me some information. If I analyse, you have more leverage than I do." Aisha explains.
"I don't quite get your point. If you aren't here to "play" by my rules, then what are you here for?" I ask."Sword? What is it for?" Aisha questions again.
"A key. It has the inscriptions of-"
"Cut the crap there Shaolin guy. Probably even a kid knows that by now. Why do you want it is what I want to know." Aisha concludes as I shake my head and walk forward.
"I don't want to sit idle and waste this board's potential like you and dad did." I mumble."You cannot spread it ofcourse, without resources, i.e, without the gold." Aisha connects the dots.
"Bonanza is not a city of wealth and charisma as you think, sister. It's full of dread and mistakes of past. I'd be more careful if I want to conquer it." My words might have made an impact as she shuts her mouth and walks beside me.
"Didn't you know Kuhu maasi was the champion in Shaolin?" I question her.
