"Sometimes the only way to stay sane is, to go a little bit crazy."

"I'm afraid this is all we could do. I'm sorry Ai-"
Three gunshots ensured silence prevailed in the room. Nishanth shut his mouth understanding that it's impossible to calm the raging storm. His bestfriend's daughter, Mishti's gem, was literally burning with anger. Aisha casted a look at her beloved uncle, that didn't carry an ounce of emotion. Nishanth experienced the same goosebumps he used to, when he first met Mishti.

"I don't spare betrayal. Especially from my circle. But I will this time." Nishanth snapped his head towards her.
"What are you saying Aisha?" Aryamann perked up. Others were slumped down, in their positions, too tired to respond or too much injured to be in their senses.
"I will forgive whatever you did. In return, I am dead to you all." This gained the attention she wanted. Aadhrithi squinted her eyebrows.
"Di? What-"

"I am no one to you. An anonymous. That is what I will be." She declared and before her loved ones could even fathom what was happening, Aisha had already started to step out of Nishanth's bungalow with Rohit by her side. But she halted and turned around.
"I will return and ensure whoever has to clear their debt, will abide by it." Her words sent chills inside everybody's spine. Kuhu worriedly gazed at her child.

"And when I come back, I will no longer be Aisha. It'll be Scorpion."

Kuhu's POV

I worriedly gaze at my child. Aisha, focuses on the framework again, and tries another set of code to run a test. Her concentration is disrupted by Rohit's arrival with fresh coffee and snacks. She smiles and the lad offers me some too. I thank him and look around the well built wooden house. I sigh as I remember how Kunal always wanted to live this life. Away from the chaos. With the kids and me.

"It needs more time. It just gets complex each time there's a mistake. The protocol is hyper level and fabricated through thick layers of security." She explains and I nod, understanding the situation. When the destruction happened 5 years ago, I was helpless until Mahira came up to me with her plan. To divert Adyant and Aisha from the main problem so that we could try to solve it. But all the directions were inscribed in the sword. And the answers to them, in Mishti's ring.

Mahira also informed that I could research on my own because she didn't plan on sticking with us for a longer time. And I was obliged not to reveal anything. Not even to my own kids.
"Are you okay?" Rohit queries and I hastily bob my head, smiling.
"Why didn't you come before? Why wait?" Aisha questions me suddenly.
"I, um, I didn't have the courage honestly." A scoff leaves her mouth.
"You did possess tons of it when you were betraying me." She spats.

"Aisha, did you think I enjoyed keeping secrets from you? I didn't. But I was left without any choice." I whine.
"Why? Because Mahira told so?" My eyes widen.
"Oh don't be surprised. I have all data regarding your activities. You know what sucks Kukk? You trusted an outsider than your niece, whom you treated like your own child. That hurts."
Ouch. It really does.
"Darling, I never thought about it that way. I'm sorry. But we needed to focus on the problem." I try to comfort her, but I know I'm failing.

"Yeah, my dad. He's always been one." She chuckles.
"He really was going haywire about finding the city. And the responsibilities on his shoulders were tying him to the throne. He didn't-"
"Stop defending that bastard!" Aisha roars as I take a step back. Anyone wants to experience a first hand heart attack? Stand infront of this tornado, named Scorpion.
"He did nothing but prove that he's the real cause of all the suffering I went through. And he doesn't have a right to claim the city." She voices out.
