"There's no more bitter enemy than an old friend."

2022

Mishti leaned on the armrest and grabbed herself together. Abir had done heinous acts just to gain a place near his father and destroy him ultimately. But she knew what that kind of things do to a person. Aparna, his bestfriend's love was his first kill. The first one's always painful. She still remembered how she killed, no no, slaughtered Mehul's brother right infront of him.

And now, she was scared. Scared that Abir will go down the path. She saw love in his eyes. For her, Aisha, his brother, Kuhu, and all others. But when she gazed deep enough she found the emptiness she carried for years. It seemed as though the rage, the bitterness had transformed from her to him.

Well, all Mishti Maheshwari could do was to trust him and let him choose what he wanted. She knew she loved him.

But only Shadow knew that Abir was her only lover,

And also the worst enemy.

Aisha's POV

"Taurus come in! Taurus come in! We cannot breach further. There are civilians in there. Civilians spotted. Over." I shout into the radio.
"Continue the mission, Scorpion. Over." I receive the order as I sigh and sit back. I look back and find my group staring at me in horror. Our major had given his life for us. He went for a truce and came back with a bullet in his chest.

"Soldiers! We have received the order to kill." I say as I stand up wincing. Three bullet wounds in my leg and I still hadn't given up. Taurus was our Headquarters aka HQ. Leo was CBI and Virgo was NIA.
"But we will wait until we get confirmation from Leo and Virgo. Stand by." I announce as all the fellows relax and look at each other. The BSF commandos conversed with each other. I look forward and see those bastards fire in the building.

"Scorpion come in. Scorpion come in." I immediately take the transmitter and hold it in my hand to respond.
"Orders for festival, Leo. What do we do?" I ask in coded words. It simply means that we had orders to eradicate every single person there. A bomb strike.
"Stand by Scorpion. We have no fireworks. Be ready for one shot." The agent responds and I sink back onto the ground.

CBI agents were out of weapons. NIA didn't respond so probably they're dead. That leaves us. We had to do something. We were hiding behind a huge rock, kilometres away from the building. If we had to attack manually without the missile, the soldiers had to get closer. That would mean putting everyone at risk, without a backup plan.

"Scorpion come in! Scorpion-" The CBI line went static before I could hear anything. Damn it! At the same time, we got a message from the HQ. General's orders.
"Scorpion, make arrangements for the festival. On my signal, release the one shot." General's gruff voice said.
"General, there are innocent kids in there!"  I shout not caring about the code words.

"This is a mission off records Cap. They do not care if we die or live! We are all doomed!" One of my soldier shouts.
"Yazharu! Nahn naelam anak hunaka." The leader of those assholes shouts.
(Come out! We know you're there.)
"Cap! I have a clear target. But he has got a kid." My sniper warns me.
"Hold your fire soldier." I order and stand up.
