"In the end, everyone creates the thing they fear the most."
2052
Aisha's POV
I am still not convinced with all the video proofs and sudden home invasion of my long lost brother, and that annoying brat, Mahira who got luckily saved back then. Rhea looks around and asks if she can help me with anything. Trust me when I say she's ten times better than her father. Dude didn't even accompany me to serve these unexpected guests. He's leisurely trying to decode stuff from all of the things that has happened till now.
"Thank you big girl, but I've got this. Go to your dad, he must be feeling awkward around so many people." Rhea chuckles as I boop her nose.
"But who are they?" She questions, catching me off guard. I felt tremendously guilty at that moment, for not sharing about my family with my own daughter. Mom didn't do this to me. She had revealed every single bit of the past, so that I would know for what reasons I was being raised as Mishti Rajvansh's offspring.
"They're family." I caress her cheek as she ponders what I meant."Like Rob?" She asks referring to her godfather.
"Exactly." Adyant leans down to give her a fi while I turn around to carry the tray filled with eatables.
"Ignore this brat. Come on now, your dad is missing you already." I nudge Rhea's shoulder with my knee. She obliges and runs away, before giving a small hi-fi to her new found family member.
"You can't rule her life, sister." He smirks and leans on the wall, crossing his hands.
"I get why you're here. But why that bitch?" I ask, getting irritated about the unwanted guest, Mahira."That bitch was the one who let you use the ring. So be grateful." He says taking a cookie and munching on it.
"Don't kid me! You gave her the access and not Kukk?" I scoff and question.
"She gave a lot of intel about Dad's activities. I had to do something in return-"
"And you agreed to her T&C? Let her do whatever she wants? Became a puppet, I see. You could do better, Adyant." I storm as the devil arrives and smiles at me, as if I'm her long lost friend.
"Common princess, let him breathe." She squeaks."Not the damn name, or I'll kick you out of this cabin." I grit my teeth and leave the kitchen to get some air. After slamming the tray in the living room's table, I head out. Sitting on the wooden chair, I close my eyes and sigh. All the information that was dumped on us wasn't even the full story. Mom had already decided to protect me, and found a way that could transfer her memories into a chip, that was imbedded in Adyant's ring. So that I could rely on her ideas when it was required.
"Don't beat yourself too much. It was her choice." Adyant tells and sits down, on the ground.
"Why? Why make choices for others too? She knew I would never approve this." Without my knowledge, I talk as I want it all out.
"Mum was a great mother. She wanted all of our safety. And she knew that there would come a time when we won't be enough, and she'd be required." He voices out.
"In a projector?" I chuckle.
"Yep." He smiles and leans back, putting his weight on his both hands."How did mom think in advance? I mean, we weren't even confirmed about Krezminski's involvement due to her father, Michael, until the last moment. I never even imagined I'd lose her in that way." Looking away, I try to control the tears. Mom still remains a sensitive topic to discuss about.
"I don't know Aisha. I wasn't even there." He lets out and looks up, at the sky.
"You miss her?" He asks after a gap.
"Ofcourse. Every second of the life I'm living, it's taken from hers. I'm forever indebted to her." I smile and recall how mom would get angry if I mentioned that I was thankful for her actions.
