Misunderstanding And Bubble Bath

Today I was surprised when I saw Dominic in my room playing with Haru. I closed my door as he stopped what he was doing and looked away out the window. Haru ran to me giggling and making grabby hands for me. I picked him up and started giving him kisses, making him giggle more.

"Stop mommy pwease." I stopped and found May staring before he snapped his eyes back out the window. I bowed, holding Haru on my side. "So to what do I owe the pleasure of your company Sir." When I became the main guard for this Mafia I was told to call him and Sir both Sir. And I was to show him the same respect as the boss.

"Please don't call me that when we're alone it makes me uncomfortable. I just wanted to talk to you about something." I nodded my head as he sat on my bed and Haru jumped out of my arms to him. I pulled my desk chair closer to the bed so he could feel more 'comfortable'.

" Okay, so what was it you wanted to speak with me about Dominic?" He shook his head and I figured he meant for me to call him May like when we were younger. "Fine May what is it you wanted to speak to me about?"

He started right away with a question, "Why did you take Haru in a year ago?" I sighed and looked down at my lap knowing this would happen sooner or later. "I knew you would think I took him in to train him to become like me."

He raised his eyebrows, "That is not why you brought him in? I figured so since you seemed so under control by my father. I figured it must have been an order from him to do so." I shook my head remembering that day very clearly.

"Actually he was very against it when I asked him for permission to take care of the child. He thought it would be a burden for me to take him in and care for him. I was able to persuade him with the help of Vaughn. He stood up for me that day telling Sir he would be responsible if I was to start slacking on my duties."

May looked surprised by my statement but stood up quickly but careful not to wake the sleeping angel. "You mean all this time you were raising him to be a normal child?" I nodded at his question as I sighed looking out the window. He walked up to me hugging me before saying sorry for misunderstanding this whole time. I started to think about all the times I woke up to Haru crying in his sleep. And how he looked so confused when we passed his dead parents.

Crying was never something I did in front of anyone. But I guess today was a change of pace for me as I cried hugging him back my face in his chest since he was so much taller than me. I mean he was a year older at 6ft 2in making me feel really small whenever I was next to him. He let go of me as I wiped my face looking to the bed and finding Haru crying.

"Awe baby, what's wrong?" He looked at me still crying then looked at May. "Mommy cries!" I smiled and pecked him on the nose then his cheeks and then the forehead. He giggled and smiled at me while I picked him up in my arms, hugging him.

"Thank you for worrying about me, angel." He rubbed his nose to clean his boogers and then wiped his face before saying a small welcome. May picked up Haru and threw him up in the air, making Haru smile widely while giggling. Wouldn't I kill to see this every day of my life oh wait I do kill for this haha? That was a bad joke to think of.

Well, I am just happy that May is talking to me again now. I check what time it is and nod to myself. "Will you do me a favor while I get us some dinner from Maddux?" He nodded his head at my question. "Give Haru a bath for me please?" Once I told him what to do he hurried me out so he could try to accomplish this task. I guess he is excited to be able to do something on his own. You know with him being the next in line to be the leader of this mafia everyone does everything for you.

What I saw when I walked into the kitchen was a bit hectic at the moment. Someone tripped forward with a dish in hand making me catch them and the plate. "Wow, is there some prince coming over later that I don't know about." The girl I caught laughed a bit thanking me before standing straight.

"Not really just the usual dinner for the family. H-hi um I'm new here starting today. Mah name is Roxy." I shake her hand and smile introducing myself. "I am Yumi, the main guard of the Mafia. I am glad to meet you." She smiled widely and then looked scared, causing me to question her with a look. "I am so sorry, malady, I forgot my manners completely."

Maddux rounded a corner of the counter when she bowed to me. I looked at her shocked and then looked at him for help. "Roxy, stop fretting over such little things. Please Little Miss here doesn't care about such things." She looked up at me unsure and I hugged her. She became tense but then relaxed and hugged back. I knew from then on we would be good friends. She was maybe a year older than me by the looks of it. She had wavy hair with tanned skin and freckles but her eyes are what I liked most. They were a nice shade of gray with a hint of blue specks.

Maddux was already preparing my food so I told him to go easy on her when I left. He laughed, nodding his head and then patting Roxy on the back for reassurance. She smiled and then laughed as she started getting back to work.

Once I was back I was done with May as I shook my head. I walked into a room full of water and bubbles. Anywhere I stepped there was water and bubbles. It just flooded my room. "May! Where are you?!" He popped his head out of the bathroom doorway. "So I might have had a bit of a problem in the bath." I sighed, setting our food on my dripping wet desk.

"Explain and fast." He sighed and then came out with a still dripping wet Haru. I took him and got a towel that was still dry thank god and started drying him. And then getting some clothes for him which fortunately were his pajamas but everything else was wet.

"I was trying to adjust the water to be warm for him but then I guess the plug was in there. When I came back with Haru the room was already a swamp. I then was just gonna take him a bath and then clean it up before you came back but then it got worse. Haru dumped the whole box of bubble bath soap in the tub. I only just now got him cleaned after clearing most of the bubbles out."

I sigh and think of where we're gonna sleep now. "Maybe Nana will let me and Haru room with her? No, I don't want to be a bother for her to worry about." Just then Mays' eyes lit up like he had an idea. "You could stay with me until the guys finish drying and cleaning everything." I looked away kind of blushing at the thought.

What should I do? I don't want to be a bother for him but I also don't want to be a bother to anyone else and it's kind of his fault. Ugh, what should I do?
