The morning light came screaming through the curtains of Room 427, awakening Marc from his slumber. He looked ahead of him and saw his lover's cascade of hair inches from his face, with her body wrapped up in a sheet. He scooted towards her, pressing his front side against her rear.

Sarah: Mmmmmmm.

Marc: Morning, baby sweetheart.

Sarah: Morning to you as well, darling. How was last night for you?

Marc: Very satisfying. Your lips, tongue, and breasts felt so good on me.

Sarah: Your mouth drives me wild!

Marc: It looks like we're going to get to cashing in the cards sooner than I'd had expected.

Sarah turned to face Marc and nestled into his embrace of her. "Why have you waited?"

Marc: I guess I just never felt the need to "do it just to do it", like I needed to check it off my bucket list. I want my first to be with someone I see being there the next morning and future mornings as well. Guess I should ask you as well.

Sarah: Same reason I didn't date at Vanderbilt, that being my desire not to be some stupid jock's one-off and nothing more than that. Also, I guess I feel like that "gift" should be reserved for someone I can see myself with long-term.

Marc pulled Sarah closer to him and wrapped his arms tighter around her torso, which allowed her to rest her head in the crook of his neck. They cuddled and enjoyed the skin-on-skin contact currently available.

Sarah: You feel good.

Marc: I am good.

Sarah: I'd say yes, you are, but I don't want you to get a swelled head.

Marc: I can't describe the feeling of utter contentment I had afterwards, when you laid your head against my heart and told it things I hadn't heard you say to me face-to-face. I love you, Sarah Jessica Fuller, and I hope I showed you last night just how much.

Sarah melted in his arms upon hearing him say her full name, then wiped a tear or two away.

Sarah: I look forward to more nights like that in the future, as you are the perfect person on whom I want to cash in my V-Card, Marc David Stevens.

Sarah slid her right leg between Marc's, allowing him to wrap his pair around it, with the two of them settling into that position for some extended cuddle time prior to getting on with the day at hand.

Brittany Dildine and Bianca Miceli from the University of Wisconsin volleyball staff were sitting in the Discovery Café at the Greater Columbus Convention Center waiting on Lauren, Sarah, and Marc to arrive. Once they did, the women stood, exchanged handshakes with the others, then sat back down.

Marc: Everything go well coming in from America's Dairyland?

Bianca: Quite well. Was wishing for a LITTLE more sleep this morning, but we are scheduled for the second walk-through of the day, somewhere around 11:30.

Marc: We've been here since Sunday because I wanted a couple of days with Sarah before business got underway. Ended up having to change travel plans a little because the Dukes made it past the Round of 16, which meant I'd have to meet her in West Laff after the regional final on Saturday.

Brittany: Just run out of gas against Purdue, because I saw you had taken Penn State to five with a really long tiebreaker?

Lauren: That was probably part of it, but I think we let the crowd get to us and hadn't prepared for a whole-house-against-you situation during our training sessions in the Convocation Center.
